Meghan Markle is facing a make-or-break day tomorrow with the release of her Netflix show, just weeks after unveiling her new brand As Ever – and now an insider has revealed how Prince Harry feels about his wife’s latest career moves

Exactly what Prince Harry thinks about wife Meghan Markle’s latest career moves has been revealed by an insider.

The Duchess of Sussex is facing a huge make-or-break day tomorrow with the release of her eagerly anticipated lifestyle show With Love, Meghan on Netflix. The show comes just weeks after she also revealed a new name and logo for her brand, which is now called As Ever, which has sparked much controversy.

Prince Harry has featured in several teasers for his wife’s Netflix series although reports suggest that he appears very little in the cookery and hosting show. But despite Harry focusing more on his charity and philanthropic work, a source close to the couple says he is happy to see his wife returning to her roots.

When they first met when Meghan was an actress on hit TV legal drama Suits, the Duchess ran her very own successful lifestyle blog, The Tig. And the source tells Hello! that Harry is happy to see his wife returning to creating content and inspiring followers.

They explained: “He’s thrilled to see her embracing this again. It’s something he admired about her from the beginning. For her, it’s a return to something that’s always brought her joy.”

Initially, With Love, Meghan was due to premiere on the streaming giant in mid-January – but three days before its debut, the Duchess of Sussex announced that it was being pushed back to 4 March due to the devastation caused by the wildfires in Los Angeles.

In recent weeks, Meghan has dropped several teasers for the show on her newly-launching Instagram account, with several promos featuring glimpses of her children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet . And while Netflix will be hoping for bumper audience figures, one royal expert believes there is one group who she can’t rely on to watch the show – her estranged royal relatives.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond told the Mirror that Meghan’s frosty bond with her husband Prince Harry’s family means they don’t give her “any consideration” meaning they won’t be tuning in tomorrow. She said: “I doubt if anyone from the Royal Family will bother to watch it. Nor will they give any consideration to the next phase of her life. I really feel she has made herself irrelevant to the rest of the family.”

In recent weeks, questions have been raised about the series’ content. It has been reported that the programme, which was previously rumoured to be a cookery show, will hardly feature any recipes and will instead offer ideas on how to be the “perfect hostess”.

Meanwhile, comparisons have also been made to a very similar-looking lifestyle series presented by former Baywatch actress Pamela Anderson. And Jennie believes this criticism will not have gone down well with Meghan.

She added: “I think she will justifiably feel annoyed that her plans have drawn such criticism. But I guess she’s used to it by now. I think it’s ridiculous to suggest she’s copying other people. First of all, there’s very little in the media world that is original.

“And secondly she started out as an influencer – and a very successful one – so it makes perfect sense for her to return to one of her strengths. I think the Netflix publicity is rather to blame, suggesting that this is something new, when the idea of cooking and chatting with friends and celebrity guests has been around for years. But there’s nothing wrong in Meghan giving her own take on a well-used format.”
