The Prince of Wales has revealed his favourite Christmas song during an interview with the Royal Marsden Hospital radio station – and it’s not what you would expect

Prince William has revealed his favourite Christmas song and it’s not what you’d expect. The Prince of Wales made the surprising revelation during a festive interview with young patients at the Royal Marsden Hospital, where he has been President since 2007.

When asked by host Barry Alston about his favourite Christmas tune, Prince William confessed: “For this particular chat with you Barry, I’m gonna say Feliz Navidad is my favourite Christmas song because it’s a bit different”. He added: “I could say Mariah Carey, who I love dearly as well. That’s a good one and obviously there are many others, but I think I’ll probably go with Feliz Navidad. It’s a bit more jolly.”

Prince William has previously wowed fans with his linguistic prowess, revealing an impressive hidden talent for languages. The Prince of Wales is reportedly fluent in French, German, Spanish and even Swahili, which he self-taught during his university days.

His Spanish skills may have been honed further during a gap year spent in Chile with Raleigh International, where he was involved in building houses and aiding local communities.

But language skills weren’t the only revelation from the Prince’s recent appearance on a show, as he also shared his love for the festive comedy Elf, admitting: “I would have to say, probably Elf. It’s very funny and I keep watching it every Christmas and it still makes me laugh.”

In addition to his film favourites, William discussed family board game nights with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, highlighting Monopoly and Risk as household staples.

He described the competitive spirit these games evoke, saying, “We are playing board games with the children quite a lot. We love Monopoly, that’s good and Risk, have you played Risk before?

“That’s a good board game, it goes on for hours and usually everyone gets very cross because they lose. But that’s what I like playing.”
