Cleaning the cat litter tray can be a chore – and a smelly one at that – but Litter-Robot have a range of electronic litter boxes that might just make the difference

Cat lovers can often find themselves constantly cleaning up after their furry friend and, often, no matter how much they clean their house, there is still a lingering animal smell.

If that’s the case, it may be time for them to upgrade their system – but shoppers can now save up to £50 off Litter-Robot bundles, featuring automatic litter boxes on the market along with several cat accessories and add-ons.

So, what’s a Litter-Robot? The self-cleaning litter box does the job cat owners may dislike the most, which is sifting out waste after every use. It also is multi-cat friendly and works for up to four cats so buyers won’t have to worry about breaking the bank and buying more than one new tray for each furry friend.

That cat smell that may be lingering about the house a little too long will now be removed as the Litter-Robot has an OdorTrap System, with clumps falling into a tightly-sealed drawer. In today’s climate, going to the vets for check ups isn’t always feasible and with the litter bot, buyers can get insights into each cat such as their weight.

With multiple bundles, shoppers can choose from the following: the Litter-Robot 3 Connect Essentials Bundle down to £769.00 from £819 which comes with a litter-robot ramp, fence, waste drawer lines, 3 carbon filters and is the highest-rated WiFi enabled option.

Cat owners could also opt for the Litter-Robot 4 Basics Bundle for £879, down from £929, which is the newest, quietest and smartest litter box yet and includes all additional features. Lastly, there’s the Litter-Robot 4 Clean Bundle for £1,003.99 down from £1,054, which has premium odour-control and cleanliness products added.

With a total of 4.4 out of 5 star ratings from a total of 12,284 reviews, customers have shared their thoughts on the self cleaning litter boxes. “Honestly, this cat box has changed both my cat’s and my family’s life,” said one buyer.

“Our old boy has arthritis and struggled to use the regular cat box in, let’s say, a clean way. My cat was struggling with skin allergies and eye infections on and off for years. Within a week of using this product his eyes cleared up and he hasn’t needed his allergy medication in weeks. My house is now clean, no tracks and litter all over and smells good. We’ve only been using the Litter Robot for two months, but what an unbelievable difference it has made in all of our lives already.”

“I have had LR3s for years!” said another. “Finally was able to upgrade them all to LR4s. Absolutely love the 4. They are much easier to clean. The cycle is much quieter too. I’m a big fan, but of course so are my cats, thankfully. Definitely a great investment if you have one or more kitties.”

A shopper raised one potential issue: “It’s very temperamental and I often have to manually reset the system.”

However, another customer said: “I love this robot, it is my new best friend! Seriously the best thing I’ve ever bought for myself!”

If shoppers are after some cheaper alternatives, they could try the PetSafe ScoopFree Covered Self-Cleaning Litter Box from Amazon for £179.99. While it does boast the odour-removal aspect, it does have a lower user-rating at 3.9 out of 5,448 ratings. Otherwise there’s also the Yaheetech Grey Enclosed Cat Litter Box for £45.99 from B&Q. This is not automatic so you’ll still have to a lot of the heavy lifting yourself and does not boast the odour-trap features either, but is a decent low-tech solution.
