On the hunt for a fortune? It turns out you really need to check your rare coin collection immediately as two pennies could be worth up to £127,000, so do you have any?

It’s always worth having a clear out at home.

Whether you’re going through an old stash of DVDs or better yet, a rare coin collection with a mega value. Now according to one TikTok user, two old pennies can turn you into a “millionaire”, so do you have any?

User @thecoincollectoruk, who boasts 129,000 followers, recently shared a video showing the two old pennies which feature different dates. He discussed a coin from 1933, while a Queen Elizabeth piece from 1954 also got a mention.

The TikTok user said: “These two old pennies can make you a millionaire. There are two different dates you must look out for on your old pennies. The first is a George 5th penny from 1933, there are thought to be less than 10 of these.”

They added: “One of them resold at auction for £127,248 and others in the £70,000 to £80,000 range. It’s definitely the most valuable penny to ever exist.” Meanwhile they then turned their attention to the Queen Elizabeth 1954 penny which has very few out there.

“There is only one of these known to have survived from a trial run of several hundreds according to the Royal Mint,” the user explained. “This means the 1954 is also extremely rare penny, the last one sold in 1991 for £23,100. It’s likely worth even more now with inflation accounted for.”

Meanwhile there’s also an “MS 63 version of the coin which could be worth up to £60,000”. Since the informative clip was shared recently, it garnered 4,000 likes and over 400 comments.

One said: “Penny black is the most expensive penny,” while another added: “Hi sir I have this coin.” Then someone commented: “I have four of these.”

If you think you have any of these coins, it’s always worth reaching out to an expert to have it valued. In some cases, it could be worth a small fortune.
