I’m A Celeb: Dean McCulloch emotional after quitting trial

Rebekah Vardy has sharply criticised I’m A Celeb’s Dean McCullough for committing what she described as the ultimate sin.

The former I’m A Celeb star took to her column in The Sun, where she vented her frustration over Dean’s apparent lack of resilience on the show.

During last night’s episode, Dean was locked into a mummy figurine and was joined by sand, giant mealworms and crickets. He got off to a good start and answered two questions correctly, before managing to secure two stars.

But it all got too much for him and he soon screamed the famous line: “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!”. With that, the trial was over and Dean was removed from the figurine, with Ant and Dec confirming he had won just two stars for camp meaning a rationed meal for the camp.

About Dean’s unwillingness to complete the trial, Rebekah said: “Dean, you really let the camp down last night. There’s nothing worse than failing a trial, but to say I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, is just a no.”

She added: “You literally just have to force yourself into these trials. Everyone’s starving, I’m totally relying on you to succeed, I can’t believe he actually tapped out.”

Rebekah also predicted that the campmates will soon start to get hangry, and that the tolerance for failures being overlooked won’t last much longer.

She said: “The camp’s being really nice at the minute with failures but I guarantee that it won’t last long. Everyone’s going to become ‘hangry’ and the weather, if it carries on being wet and cold as it was last night, it’s really going to start to effect everyone’s mood.”

Later in the episode, GK Barry revealed that the first thing she’d do after leaving the jungle is check her name on Twitter, which prompted Rebekah to give her a warning.

Rebekah said: “Please Grace, don’t ever go searching your name on the internet.

“It’s just full of vicious trolls that have always got something negative to say about you. One minute they’ll love you, the next minute they’ll hate you. Just don’t go searching for it.”

WAG Coleen Rooney has also been competing on this year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! following her highly publicised court battle with Rebekah.

The Scouse star, 38, famously accused Rebekah of leaking stories to the Sun with an infamous social media post. Rebekah, who appeared on I’m A Celebrity in 2017, kicked off high-profile libel battle but in July 2022, a judge at the High Court found the post was “substantially true”.

As Coleen entered camp, Rebekah posted a snap of herself bathing in a pink bikini with here eyes closed. Appearing relaxed in the photo, Rebekah teased: “The feeling when you are living rent free in people’s heads.” She added a laugh-crying emoji and a winking emoji to her post.
