Rhian Sugden was left fuming after Corrie husband Oliver Mellor failed to support her after she and their son were immediately rushed to hospital amid illnesses
Former reality TV star Rhian Sugden has done the unthinkable after posting a message to fans on social media slamming her husband and Coronation Street star, Oliver Mellor. The 38 year old mum of one, took to Instagram to share with fans her anger at Oliver after he opted to enjoy drinks with pals, instead of supporting both his wife and son, who were both rushed to hospital.
Posting a message to her many followers, the model blasted Oliver for “going out drinking” while their 11-month old son lay in a hospital bed with suspected measles. Rhian and Oliver tied the knot in 2018. But now it seems as though the rose tinted glasses of married life has been ripped off, if her post is anything to go by. Rhian was diagnosed with a Victorian disease called Quinsy, which according to the star has been unbearable to deal with.
Writing a heartfelt message to her many followers, she raged: “Anyone else ever been so ill they’ve ended up in A&E twice in two days and yet their husband would rather go out drinking with his mates instead of helping at home, or am I just the unfortunate one?”
She added from the comfort of her bed: “I’m home for those of you who are asking, but oh my god I am so much worse. They sent me to A&E the other day because it was bad but i feel like its got worse even though I am on strong antibiotics. I don’t really want to waste a space in hospital and it’s dramatic if I call an ambulance but I am really feel like I am struggling to breathe, I can’t swallow.”
While struggling to maintain an upbeat composure for her followers, Rhian confessed that she would rather give birth to a child “ten times over than this.”
She penned: “So I’ve just been back to the doctors because my throat is in absolute agony. I think I’ve got quite a high pain threshold, but this is something else. I’ve got Quinsy. I thought that was a Victorian disease, but oh my god, if anyone’s ever had it, oh god, I can’t even. It hurts to even open my mouth.”
But unfortunately, her son George was also struck down with possible measles and also rushed to A&E. She went on to inform her 500,000 followers: “My little man, George, is up in A&E with possible measles, so I don’t know where we’ve been hanging about, but we won’t be going out again.”
According to the NHS website, Quinsy is in the family of tonsilitis which is essentially an abscess between the tonsils and the wall of the throat. Rhian’s health woes comes on the back of her decision to reduce her breast size, which garnered a barrage of abuse by online trolls.
But in true form, the former Celebrity Big Brother star hit back at the negative comments. Alongside a picture of her in a flattering bikini, she wrote: “It’s actually quite shameful that I’m actually writing a caption to JUSTIFY what I’m doing with MY body. “
She penned: “12 months ago before I got pregnant my boobs were large, but still at a manageable size of a DD/E cup. After having a baby, my size has increased to an F and I’m spilling out of my bras even at that size. I’m having an uplift and a reduction.”
She continued: “Boob experts (men) are messaging me telling me to just lose weight and they’ll shrink. Look at me!?? I’m the size I was yet despite your professional advice my melons haven’t shrunk. Who’d have thought? My back hurts. I long to wear backless dresses. Buy sexy lingerie, wear no bra when I go out, run, swim without them falling out of my swimsuit. They don’t make me happy this big. It’s MY body. It’s my Happiness and it’s MY choice.”
