Eamonn Holmes has reportedly been ‘leaning on’ a third woman after his split from wife Ruth Langsford, with the Loose Women star said to be ‘in absolute shock’

Ruth Langsford has been left in “absolute shock” following reports that Eamonn Holmes, her ex, has sought comfort from a “third woman” post-split. The pair announced news of their divorce in May, after 14 years of union and over a decade of co-hosting ITV’s This Morning.

Eamonn confessed at the TRIC Awards, his initial public outing since the break-up, that he was “not okay” and it wasn’t “a good time at all” for him. According to Bella Magazine, Eamonn has found solace with relationship counsellor Katie Alexander, who has allegedly dropped by his South London flat numerous times. A source revealed to the Mirror : “She is helping Eamonn through the tough times.”

They added: “The friendship has grown in recent months but Eamonn’s marriage has been over for some time.” Reports claim Eamonn has been receiving additional support from family friend and facialist, Lisa Harris.

However, it seems to be GB News presenter Hayley Sparkes, his third pillar of support, that has stunned Ruth the most. While there’s no implication of any romantic involvement between Eamonn and Hayley, they were seen together on social media, reports the Express. A source informed the magazine: “Ruth is in absolute shock.”

“It all feels never ending,” they claimed. The source also suggested that Ruth feels “let down” by Eamonn’s actions after the split. The insider says the friendliness Eamonn is showing to other women, especially so soon after parting ways, has given her “pause for thought”.

Eamonn has returned to presenting duties on GB News since the split. Upon returning to the channel, he thanked fans for their messages of support. Ruth meanwhile is taking an extended break from This Morning and Loose Women.
