If you’re a keen rambler or need a practical coat for your work commute/dog walks shoppers are raving about a Seasalt Cornwall long raincoat. The Janelle Waterproof Raincoat isn’t cheap at £170 but the glowing reviews speak for themselves.
The coat comes in several cheerful colours, including bergamot, nickel, lichen, oak, aran, woodland, squid ink, and black. It’s available in sizes 8-28 and in regular, tall, and petite lengths.
Its relaxed shape allows for plenty of cosy layers underneath, and it falls to the knee for extra coverage. The upper half is lined with soft recycled fleece, while quilted lining at the bottom gives you ease of movement as well as warmth.

The coat has 359 reviews, 290 of which have been rated 5 stars from buyers. One customer rated it five stars, writing: “Absolutely love this coat, great in the rain and cold weather! Perfect for walking and going out in the evening too.
“Used the size adviser and it’s a great fit. I know it’s not cheap, but it is honesty worth every penny. My sister had already purchased from Seasalt, so I was lucky to get 20% off with the ‘introduce a friend’ feature. Would highly recommend!”
A second commented: “I have bought many a raincoat over the years but this is by far the best! It’s the first I’ve had that is 100% waterproof for a start.
“It’s also warm, a great length for dog walking and at the stables, but stylish enough for trips out too. I love it and have had lots of positive comments asking me where it came from.”

Not all shoppers were pleased, with one disliking the quality. They wrote: “Not impressed with the fabric. Flimsy, hood won’t stay up in gales.
“Outer fabric not as good as Texapore. Seems like water would be retained and not just run off. Sorry, not up to Scottish gales and downpours. Returned.”
Another unhappy buyer said: “I’m a size 24 and ordered the size 26/28 and it’s too small. I can zip it up but looked like a stuffed sausage and can’t move my arms freely. Such a shame as I had high hopes for this jacket.”
