A Ninja air fryer has become the go-to for many, but you can pick up a similar design on Amazon that’s ‘just as good’ as a Ninja but will cost you almost £120 less

Air frying is hailed as a healthier alternative to traditional roasting and frying, requiring minimal or no oil while still delivering crispy results. The trend for air fryers shows no signs of abating, with an array of shapes and sizes now on offer, making them a hot item in many homes.

Particularly as it’s known that these compact devices are cheaper to run than conventional ovens. Top-tier brands like Ninja can cost you a pretty penny, with some models such as the Ninja Foodi Dual Zone Air Fryer priced at £179.99 (down from £199.99).

However, there are more budget-friendly options available, like the EMtronics Dual Air Fryer which retails at £63.99. This large nine-litre air fryer can serve up to eight people, featuring two baskets for cooking different foods, eight pre-set functions and an easy-to-clean removable drawer.

Amazon customers have compared the EMtronics air fryer to the pricier Ninja model, with one stating: “I’ve had a Ninja air fryer and this is just as good. Aesthetically looks far better too.”

Another shopper added: ”Like most people, I’d love a Ninja dual air fryer, but I had to compromise for something cheaper! I’m not sorry. This is a great product, easy to use, huge capacity, which is perfect for families, and easy to clean. I highly recommend it!’.

One satisfied customer praised the air fryer, saying: ”This air fryer was better than expected and it makes my food really crispy and nice and warm and it doesn’t make [a] loud noise while it air frys the food, and it holds a good amount of food.”

However, another user had a gripe about a specific feature of the appliance: “This air fryer appears to work well. There is however one negative point in that the display is very dim and there is no means by which to adjust it. If you intend to place the unit anywhere near a window, or if you don’t have 20/20 eyesight then this may not be the air fryer for you. As it is I have to pull the window blind down every time I use it. At first I thought the the fryer must be faulty and so returned it however the replacement is just the same.”

In other deals, the Lakeland Dual Basket Air Fryer with Easy View Windows is currently on offer for £79.99, allowing you to keep an eye on your food as it cooks. Alternatively, the Ninja Double Stack 2-Drawer Air Fryer 7.6L, which has a compact design featuring two drawers, is now £30 cheaper at £199.99, reports the Express.
