Footage has emerged this Russian Orthodox Christmas showing surrendered Ukrainian soldiers executed by Russian troops in the Donetsk region which is currently being investigated as an international war crime

Vladimir Putin’s troops have carried out a a string of executions as graphic footage shows two Ukrainian soldiers shot dead.

As Russia marks Orthodox Christmas, sickening video captured by drone has emerged showing the surrendered soldiers executed in Vremivka village in Donetsk region, after their defences were stormed by Russia.

It’s alleged both men were sot at point blank range. The deaths have been registered as an international war crime and are both under investigation by Ukraine ’s Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office.

The horrifying images emerged as separate claims were made of three Ukrainian military POWs with their hands tied were taken out of their defence bunker shot in the back of the head. The claims were made on the Deep State Telegram channel, which reported “the fighters surrendered, their hands were tied”.

The soldiers were “led out in front of the position, and shot in the back of the head,” it was claimed. “If the brigade is interested in finding the culprits, we hope they will provide the video to law enforcement agencies.”

The Ukrainian fighters were from the 141st Separate Infantry Brigade. Ukrainian human rights ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets issued an appeal to the United Nationals and International Red Cross over the latest illegal executions.

The invasion of Ukraine is now reaching its third anniversary after Putin ordered the ground offensive in February 2022. Kyiv has previously warned that it is a conscious strategy of Putin’s army to shoot dead surrendering POWs.

“These organisations must condemn this crime and put pressure on the Russian side to stop such acts,” said Lubinets. Former Ukrainian prosecutor-general Andrii Kostin has said up to 90 per cent of Ukrainian prisoners in Russia suffer from various kinds of torture.

Both macabre incidents occurred on January 3 but only came to light now. Today is Orthodox Christmas Day in Russia.
