Sky’s revamped TV bundle now features more than 40 extra channels, as well as free Netflix and Discovery+ subscriptions
Sky is offering customers a boost to their TVs with the addition of extra channels on its flagship TV bundles. The brand has recently unveiled a complete overhaul of its TV packages, including the launch of its new Ultimate TV plan.
For £22 per month, this provides access to ‘over 40 more premium channels’ not available with the entry-level Essential TV plan. This takes the total to more than 140 channels including all 12 Sky Originals, allowing members to catch the latest blockbusters like The White Lotus and The Last of Us, plus box sets from Succession to Game of Thrones.
As well as 90 free-to-air channels and Sky staples like Sky Atlantic, the Ultimate TV option includes extras like Sky Documentaries, Sky Crime, Sky Comedy, Sky Showcase, Comedy Central, National Geographic and U&Gold. There’s also Sky Nature, Sky Arts, Sky History, Sky Sci-Fi, alibi and MTV – a bit of something for everyone.

On top of all this, Sky is throwing in free subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+, all of which is available without a satellite dish thanks to the included Sky Stream puck. Sky Stream plugs straight into a TVs HDMI port and offers access to TV and streaming apps over WiFi, rather than a traditional dish or aerial.
All of this works out at roughly 73p per day when broken down over 30 days. Usually, the Netflix Standard with Ads and Discovery+ Basic subscriptions would set you back a combined £8.98 when signing up direct, so with Sky’s £22 Ultimate TV plan, you’re essentially paying £13.02 each month for hundreds of extra TV channels.
Sky also provides several mix-and-match bundle options, with prospective members able to add Sky Cinema and Sky Sports onto their package for an extra £10 and £20 respectively. There’s also fibre broadband options from £19 for those looking to roll all their subscriptions into one.
However, the main thing to note is that signing up for these prices means committing to a 24-month contract, with Sky stating its prices may change ‘during this period’. For a shorter commitment, it’s worth checking out Virgin Media’s TV bundles, all of which run for 18 months.
Virgin also offers a £30.99 per month flexible TV plan with more than 150 channels and 132Mbps broadband.
