Sky has launched some new deals on its smart Glass TVs but something ‘better’ could launch next month.
Sky is kicking the year off with some pretty mighty deals on its latest and greatest devices. The firm’s big January sale event was already offering TV and broadband for just £35 per month but now there’s a big price cut to Sky Glass as well.
For those not already aware, Sky Glass is a fully connected TV that includes a built-in soundbar and full access to live on-demand channels via your broadband. That means there is no need for tricky installation or an ugly dish strapped to your chimney.
Along with full Sky channels and terrestrial services, Sky Glass also includes all the most popular streaming services such as Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+ and Prime Video. It will offer personalised recommendations for each member of the family, can store shows to watch later via the Playlists function and features clever voice search and voice controls.
If any of that sounds enticing, there is good news. Sky has just slashed the price of its Glass TV with prices now starting from just £27 per month. That new deal includes a 43-inch screen, over 100 channels (including Sky Atlantic) plus access to Netflix and Discovery+.

Those wanting a bigger TV will also find the 55-inch device dropped to £32 and the bigger 65-inch model cut to £37 per month.

The only things to note are that you will need a decent broadband connection for the best experience and you will need to sign up for a 48-month contract.
These are solid deals from Sky but be warned. The firm recently sent Mirror Online an invite to a big event where something “Smarter, brighter and better” will be unveiled.
The showcase is taking place next month in London and we’ll have to wait and see exactly what is unveiled. It could be a new Sky Q box or a refresh to the popular Sky Stream device.
With the cryptic words on the invite saying “brighter” we may also get to see an improved Sky Glass TV with a better screen.
We’ll know more next month so watch this space.
