Steps singer Claire Richards angrily outed Harvey Nichols for allegedly only sending part of her Christmas order, leaving her out £350 and missing gifts for her daughter and husband

Steps star Claire Richards, 47, has publicly raged at luxury department store Harvey Nichols for allegedly taking her cash but not delivering her order.

The musician said that her Christmas was ruined by the store after only part of her online order showed up, leaving her with missing gifts for her husband Reece Hill and their daughter Daisy, who recently turned 15.

On X formerly known as Twitter, Claire went on a long rant about the store. She began: “Any retail experts on here that can tell me if it’s lawful for @HarveyNichols to accept my order, take my payment, send order in multiple packages with half the items missing, totalling over £350,but when I asked them to send the missing items as they were Xmas gifts………

“I was told they have proof of delivery and they have checked the cctv of my exact package being assembled and boxed and that the items were put in the box. I asked to see the cctv proof but apparently I’m not allowed as it breaches data protection @HarveyNichols ………?”

She then tagged Harvey Nichols again, and raged: “It seems when it’s your word against mine there is no consideration for the customer. I’m shocked at the lack of customer service and outright disregard for the consumer. I had already bought one of the items from @JohnLewisRetail…….

“And another but returned it after I saw you had a deal on the item. I have no doubt that @JohnLewisRetail would have dealt with this matter in a much more sympathetic manner and one that had a good result for both parties. As it stands I’m out of pocket my husband and…… my daughter didn’t receive their gifts and you refuse to communicate with me to try and resolve this any further.”

The Masked Singer alum then added: “Surely if you have definitive proof it was packed I should be able to view that proof for myself. It only leads me to believe you are so incredibly greedy as a retailer you would be happy to call me a liar and make me feel like a thief rather than write off £350 which I’m sure is a drop in the ocean to you! All it’s achieved is a customer lost telling everyone how appallingly you treat your customers.”

In a final tweet clarifying what had happened, she shared: “Some people are misunderstanding the problem a box was delivered I’m not contesting I received that box. In that box should have been 5 items there was only one! But they are saying because it was delivered and they have “cctv” proof of it being packed I’m lying!”

Claire’s public outing of Harvey Nichols comes as no surprise, after last year she opened up about becoming more assertive over the years. She said: “I think it’s a menopausal thing, but I’ve become more honest and less tolerant. I would like to think I’d stick up for myself now in situations that I haven’t in the past.”

Claire came fourth on Celebrity Big Brother in 2013, and added that she’d be more outspoken if she went back into the house today. “I’m at a different stage in life and I’m much more confident,” she said, sharing: “I probably wouldn’t take the s**t that I was given. I just kind of shied away from the drama, but now, if it was directed at me, I probably would stick up for myself. But that’s a side of me that doesn’t come out very often.”
