Strictly Come Dancing star Vicky Pattison was nearly left red faced following near miss with a wardrobe malfunction as she celebrated her highest score of the series so far

Week on week Vicky Pattison has been striving for top marks following her performances on Strictly Come Dancing. And this week the former Geordie Shore star finally achieved her highest score of the series.

But her celebratory hug with her professional dance partner Kai Waddington was cut short as she nearly suffered a wardrobe malfunction. And the moment was caught on TikTok which went viral.

Vicky had been awarded her highest score to date and was told by lead judge Shirley Ballas that she could potentially make it to the final. But as she hugged Kai, she realised she may have been a little over zealous with her movements and quickly checked that she had not fallen victim to a wardrobe malfunction.

With her legs wrapped around Kai, Vicky is seen jumping down and pulling at her top which had moved to the side. And noticing the moment, show host Claudia Winkleman said: “I love you Vicky, that was your highest score.”

Unable to suppress her excitement, Vicky is then seen laughing while Claudia spoke to viewers. But that’s not the only red faced moment on Strictly that Vicky has endured.

During the dress rehearsal last week, ahead of last Saturday’s show, she recalled a moment that she will never forget.

Speaking on her podcast Get Grip with Kai and Angela Scanlon, she recalled: “Saturday was just like a disaster from start to finish, I think. Do you know my little headdress thing? “

She went on to explain: “So I put that on and we were dancing in the dress rehearsal and obviously there was a move where my head goes down and comes up. And my headpiece just totally detached from the wig and fell over my face and I kept trying to shove it up and it kept falling back over my eyes.”

However, away from the pressures of heading to the final, she is also feeling the pressure of motherhood.

The TV personality, 37, married her long-term partner Ercan Ramadan last year and revealed that the pressure to start a family has been a lot to deal with.

Speaking on the Women’s Health Just as Well podcast with Gemma Atkinson and Claire Sanderson, she explained: “My mum told me ‘If not having children is your trajectory, that’s fine,’ which I thought was powerful. I think we’re coming around to the idea as a society that a woman doesn’t have to have children to be fulfilled – and, for me, there’s still a huge question mark over motherhood.

She continued:” I’ve worked to finally get to a place where I’m proud of who I’m becoming, and the thought of taking a break… it scares me.”
