A surgery-obsessed model has been left unable to open one of her eyes after getting it tattooed neon green.
Extreme body modifications fan Mary Magdalene already had one eye tattooed black, and said she hoped to achieve a “mutant hybrid apocalyptic otherworldly goddess“ look by getting her other eyeball inked. She asked for dramatic neon green colour with yellow tones – but things did not go to plan. Instead, the yellow ink has leaked and ‘clumped’ in the corner of her eye, and has also stained the skin surrounding it. Explaining the full extent of her complications, Mary, who lives in Toronto, Canada, said: “Right now I still can’t fully open my eye.
“My eyeball is fully bruised, bloodshot and swollen.
“The yellow stain was a complication from the ink – I’m probably going to have to see an ophthalmologist for surgery to drain some of the excess ink from the eye.
“There’s a big clump in the corner that isn’t spreading – it’s like it’s stuck there.”
Mary’s original plan had been to incorporate green and yellow tones on her eyeball to create a “psychedelic effect” – the latest in a string of inkings and body modifications she has undergone.
She has reportedly had several Brazilian butt lifts, lip injections, nose jobs, cheek transfers and extreme tattooing, and last year pursued a ‘blackout’ tattoo – covering herself in black ink.
Mary estimates she has spent a huge $500,000 (£370,000) on altering her looks – and she has no plans to slow down, at least when it comes to tattoos.
She said: “I have a breast reduction planned soon, and then my goal is to mostly be done with surgeries.
“Then I’ll just continue with my tattoos and other modifications, like getting my tongue split, [more] body implants, pointed ears – stuff like that.”
Last month, a man known as the ‘Human Satan’ shocked his Instagram followers after revealing he’d had some of his fingers surgically removed to begin the process of turning them into claws.

He also holds the Guinness World Record as the person with the most subdermal ‘horn’ implants on his head. But in a new photograph last month, Mr Diabão was seen missing his little and ring fingers, leaving him with just three left on both sides – his thumb, index finger and middle finger.
