Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce broke the internet by announcing their engagement on social media last night, and here’s one details you might have missed – Taylor’s new lipstick
If there’s one thing that everyone has been talking about last night and this morning, it’s Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement announcement. The couple posted a series of heartwarming snaps in an Instagram post captioned, ‘Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married’ – and the internet has gone crazy for it.
To announce her engaged era, Taylor wore a £385 white striped Ralph Lauren dress (which, surprisingly, is still in stock), Louis Vuitton heels, a Cartier watch and, of course, her new vintage-inspired engagement ring, rumoured to be worth around a whopping $1million.
We also couldn’t help but zoom in to see which lipstick the star wore for these timeless photos, and it’s a marked change from her usual look.

Taylor is known for her classic red lip, most famously Pat McGrath Labs’ MatteTrance Lipstick in the shade Elson 4. This has been sold out for ages now, but the same shade in Pat McGrath Labs’ LiquiLUST Legendary Wear Matte Lipstick is still available, and currently on sale, reduced from £32 to £22.40.
However, for this huge life moment the Grammy Award-winning pop star moved away from red and opted for a different lipstick colour: a pinky, orange-y coral, which she’s also been wearing during promo for her surprise new album, The Life of a Showgirl.
While Taylor or sources close to her haven’t revealed the exact product that’s clearly a new favourite, we’ve got a few guesses. It’s known that she’s also a fan of NARS Morocco lipstick, a warm cinnamon shade that is, unfortunately, also hard to find now here in the UK. Fans hoping to try the Taylor-approved formula in a different shade, however, can get their hands on the lipstick in similar shades ‘Heat Wave’ and ‘Trans Siberian’.
There’s also the thought that it might be LV Rouge Matte Lipstick the shade Wild Soul from Louis Vuitton’s soon-to-be-released – and wildly expensive – debut make-up collection. With an estimated net worth of $1.6billion, she wouldn’t have a problem with forking out the eye-watering £120 for these lipsticks (if they weren’t sent to her ahead of launch), and we know she’s a fan of Pat McGrath, worked on these Louis Vuitton products.
There’s also the thought that it could be Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch Lip Oil in the shade Joy, which is still available at £21; the colour is certainly similar, and Rare founder Selena Gomez is a close friend of Taylor’s – however, with a glossy, juicy finish, we can’t imagine that this would last long with all the inevitable kissing involved in an engagement photoshoot.
We already can’t wait to see what her bridal beauty look will be!
