It’s nearly payday and as spring sales get underway, shoppers are finding deals to make savings on their skincare products. Debenhams’ beauty sale included the popular Lancome Genifique Starter Kit with 20% off and the bestselling anti-ageing serum worked out to be £11.20.

Customers are expected to receive a 20ml Lancome Genifique Ultimate Serum, 5ml Advanced Genifique Eye Cream and 15ml Renergie HPN 300-Peptide Cream – all for £33.60 instead of £42. The skincare set is designed to reverse skin damage and help reduce signs of ageing in one week.

The black bottled serum is said to have the royal seal of approval by Kate Middleton, who enjoyed the lightweight texture and skin repair benefits. Emily In Paris star Lily Collins and Hollywood actress Kate Winslet are also fans of the Genifique Ultimate Serum and the new formula now works on skin microbiome to boost the barrier against envinromental damages.

With a high 4.7 out of five star ratings among 3,700 reviews, one said: “I’ve noticed such a difference in how my skin looks and feels. It’s smoother, softer, and definitely more radiant. There’s this glow I haven’t seen in a while, and even some of my fine lines—especially around my eyes—look less noticeable. My makeup also sits better, which I wasn’t expecting, but it’s a nice bonus.”

Touted to roll back skin damage and bestow immediate comfort and moisture, the serum is crafted with cutting-edge Beta Glucan-CM technology geared to repair skin with 90% of customers saying skin quality looks improved. The formula of hyaluronic acid, licorice extract, pre- and probiotic fractions aims to ease redness, soften creases and refine skin texture.

Customers tackling signs of ageing have lavished praises on the serum, attesting to its power to smooth out lines and entrenched wrinkles. One such admirer hailed it as the ‘holy grail of all serums’, divulging: “I noticed improvement in the tone of my skin to the neck and smoother, firmer skin almost immediately. I love this product and will continue to use. Works great on the face as well without the greasy/oily feeling as my skin is mostly very oily,” reported the Express.

Alternatively, snag a bargain with Estee Lauder’s Beautiful Skin 101 Repair + Lift + Hydrate Set, which offers £78 worth of travel-sized skincare goodness for just £45. Not to be outdone, Clarins’ Favourites Set is turning heads with its iconic Double Serum, complemented by a mascara and lip comfort oil, all for £67.

Customers have been raving about the ‘luxurious packaging’ and ‘neutral clean smell’ of the Lancome serum, with one impressed user noting: “The serum is light, absorbs quickly, and is not sticky or heavy on the skin. I did notice a difference in my skin appearance after about 14 days. My skin looks smoother, bright, and softer. The serum is hydrating, and absorbs into your skin.”

On the flip side, some haven’t seen the changes they were hoping for, as one purchaser voiced their disappointment: “I was completely underwhelmed by this serum. I incorporated this into my established skincare routine and I didn’t notice a difference after two months of using this nightly. My fine lines, and dark spots, are not any different.”

Another user reported that the serum felt ‘slightly on the slimy side’, but they were chuffed with the improvements, particularly on trouble spots. For those looking to dip their toes into Lancome’s range, the Genifique Starter Set is currently up for grabs at Debenhams for a steal at £33.60.
