TK Maxx shoppers have spotted an alternative of a designer ornament – for a fraction of the price. Bargain hunters and fashion lovers often head to high street giant TK Maxx to find deals and discounts on designer items.
Now, shoppers have spotted a cheaper alternative for a £370 designer ornament at the retailer. Instagram user Ellie (@fenloninteriors) showcased the retailer’s latest addition to it’s range of bear ornaments – which look just like designer brand Bearbrick.
In a recent Instagram Story, Ellie shared a photo of a pale pink bear ornament and wrote: “Also you know I said I wish this was in clear so I could buy as it’s a [alternative] of Bacarat x BEARBRICK…they listened.”
She added another photo of the same product in clear – and it looks just like the Baccarat x Bearbrick Figurine, which is priced at £370 online. The TK Maxx ornament is very similar in design, though it comes with a much smaller price tag of £12.99.
The ornament is very similar in style to figures by Bearbrick, which were created in 2001 in the style of Japanese toy label Medicom’s pre-existing range of humanoid Kubrick figurines – but sporting a bear-faced remix. They have since become highly sought-after and exclusive items.
Opting for the TK Maxx version could save shoppers around £357. As well as the Clear Glass Bear, the retailer is also stocking the Green Dripping Paint Bear for £16, and the Multicolour OMG Electric Bear Ornament for £14. This means shoppers can save hundreds of pounds by opting for the high street alternatives.
