Shark Cordless – £179 (was £279.99)

This is the best-selling vacuum cleaner on Amazon, with the online retailer selling it £10.99 cheaper than buying direct from Shark. This model features the brand’s signature anti-hair wrap technology, making it ideal for those with pets, with LED headlights to illuminate any hard-to-see dirt.

The Shark vacuum cleaner can be used on carpet or hard floors and comes with several accessories including a pet tool, crevice tool and upholstery tool. It also has a long-lasting, 40-minute battery life, but some users have said it takes ‘a while’ to recharge.

Samsung Jet 65 – £199 (was £329)

Another Amazon best-seller is this Samsung Jet 65, which Amazon is offering for £130 less than Samsung. The tech brand says it has designed this vacuum ‘specifically for pet owners’, with the included pet tool said to ‘effectively’ remove pet hair, dirt and allergens thanks to its washable HEPA filter.

The Jet 65 is compact and has an ergonomic handle for easier manoeuvrability, while among the included accessories is a long reach crevice tool, which can extend up to 43cm to clean in narrow nooks and crannies. However, keep in mind that one buyer said found it ‘hard work’ to clean their whole house, writing: “It isn’t self supporting and doesn’t pull itself along like the standard upright vacuums with brushes do.”

Shark Stratos Cordless – £234.99 (was £349.99)

This Shark Stratos is a firm favourite of ‘cleanfluencer’ Sophie ‘Mrs Hinch’ Hinchliffe, and it’s easy to see why. Shark says this model features its ‘best ever hair pick-up’ with Anti Hair Wrap Plus, as well as up to 50% more dirt pick-up than the Pet Pro in ECO mode.

This model boasts anti-odour technology to protect against smelly odours inside the vacuum, plus a powerful and removable battery that can run for up to 60 minutes. The Stratos also has a ‘DuoClean’ floorhead glides from carpets to hard floors with two motorised brush-rolls in its floorhead.

This model is now £100 off at Shark, but shoppers can get 10% off at Shark by signing up for the brand’s newsletter. This takes the total price down to £234.99, even cheaper than Amazon ’s £249 asking price.

Hoover HF9 – £149 (was £319)

Hoover makes a bold claim in saying its HF9 vacuum cleaner is ‘twice as powerful’ than Shark’s best-selling cordless vacuum. What’s more, shoppers can now save £170 on this already model with the code HF9-SAVE.

The deal is for the ‘Pet’ edition of Hoover’s standard HF9, which includes a motorised ‘Mini Turbo Pets Brush’ for cleaning pet hair and upholstery. This model also features anti-hair wrap technology and a powerful ‘Turbo Boost’ function that delivers stronger suction at the touch of a button.

It may not be for everyone, as one reviewer in their ‘young 60s’ found the Hoover ‘too heavy’ to use. However, others said it is ‘light and very manoeuvrable’.

Ultenic U16 – £149.99 (was £189.99)

Our Content Commercialisation Editor Jada Jones tried this vacuum and was ‘completely sold’. She loved how it was small enough to neatly hide under her stairs and said it was ‘great’ at picking up dust in hard-to-reach places.

Jada said she could ‘easily’ change the vacuum’s size, making it easier to tackle ‘pesky’ kitchen spots and the stairs. The Ultenic U16 also has a touchscreen display that allows you to control the suction level and see how much battery is left, as well as a bendable tube for easy cleaning under furniture.

Jada noted one potential flaw to the vacuum, saying: “I do think cordless vacuums have a little less power than those plugged into the mains system but for the sake of not constantly switching plugs and tripping over wires I’m completely sold.”
