TV writer Jake Hackney takes a look at EE’s Black Friday 2024 sale as the brand joins the long list of brands launching unmissable tech deals
As Black Friday draws ever-closer, more and more brands are launching new deals to entice customers. Some of the big names like Sky and Virgin Media kicked off their sales earlier this month, and now EE is the latest to join in on the action.
The BT-owned brand is offering savings up to £279 on its TV and broadband bundles that include a range of Sky TV channels, live sports from the likes of TNT and a Netflix subscription. What’s more, customers signing up for EE TV can also make a big saving on superfast broadband with speeds up to a whopping 1.6Gbps.
EE’s TV plans are designed to suit any need and budget, with select packages aimed specifically at sports fans. When taking out a TV package, you can also choose from any one of the brand’s BT-powered broadband options, depending on the speeds available in your area.

EE broadband offers speeds from 150Mbps to a whopping 1.6Gbps, providing options for any sized household, whether you’re a large family using several devices at once or are simply looking for faster speeds for streaming or browsing the web. New customers can also claim up to £300 to cover fees incurred by switching providers, with EE doing the leg work for you.
EE’s Black Friday sale is live now until December 12 and also includes discounts on gadgets like the new PlayStation 5 Pro for £659 and the Meta Quest 3S for £289.99. We’ve broken down the prices for both the EE TV and EE broadband plans below, but you should note that both elements are taken out in a single combined package.

Each of the above EE TV plans are available when taking out one of the 24-month fibre broadband plans below. If your current provider will charge you for switching, EE will cover that cost up to £300 once you’ve joined.
As always, it’s worth shopping around for the best deal that suits you, as several other TV and broadband providers have also slashed their prices for Black Friday. Sky is offering its Sky Stream, Sky TV, Netflix and Full Fibre 150 Broadband bundle for £38 a month, which works out £5.99 cheaper than taking EE Entertainment with EE Full Fibre 150.
However, those into sport may want to consider EE for catching all the Premier League and Champions League action this season. TNT Sports – the UK home of the Champions League – usually costs £30.99 a month when signing up directly, while Sky Sports can be added to a Sky package for £20 to enjoy domestic football.
But with EE’s Big Sport plan, members can access all 12 Sky Sports channels and TNT Sports – plus Eurosport 1 and 2 – for £35 a month when coupled with one of EE’s broadband plans. Over at Virgin Media’s Black Friday sale, shoppers can get the brand’s Biggest Combo Bundle with more than 210 TV channels – including Sky Sports – a Netflix subscription and 1,130Mbps broadband.
At £85 a month, this works out at £5.01 a month more than EE Big Sport and EE Full Fibre Gigabit, but new customers get their first three months free, saving £182, as well as Disney+ free for three months… a plan we think some shoppers would prefer over EE.
