Tourist Zhang Haotian, 24, from China, was walking with his girlfriend in Thailand when a local man suddenly insulted him about the size of his manhood and stabbed him in an argument
A tourist was viciously beaten up and stabbed in Thailand after an argument with a local over his penis size.
Zhang Haotian, 24, from China, was walking with his Thai girlfriend, 35, when he was reportedly insulted by a man on a beachside road in Pattaya, Thailand, in the early hours of January 20. The provocateur, said to be a Thai man, allegedly asked Zhang about his penis size and the Chinese boyfriend is understood to have replied saying his manhood “had nothing to do with him”.
But the argument then soon escalated and into a full-blown punch-up, with the Thai man allegedly jamming a key into Zhang’s arm before running away. Footage shows Zhang bleeding from the puncture wound on his right arm. The blood seeped through and stained his grey shirt and it is understood that he went with his female companion, named as Miss A, to the local police station to file a report.
Police Major Suthiraphan Tapsri, investigator at the Pattaya City Police Station, said that the Chinese boyfriend received medical treatment and promised the aggressor will be prosecuted. He stated: “The police coordinated with a local rescue unit to provide first aid to the Chinese boyfriend. We have recorded his statement for evidence and we will take legal action against the perpetrator.”
The disturbing incident is the latest issue with tourists in the bustling coastal city, where round-the-clock sex workers cater to holidaymakers. Government chiefs have attempted to clean up the city but regular violence and depravity continue to blight its reputation.
Last December, a British tourist, 71, was grilled by police after he admitted sleeping with the the corpse of a dead prostitute for three nights before the body was discovered. Bearach Beataidh was seen kissing Duangta Khampongsom, 45, as he took her to his guest house in Pattaya December 18. Caretaker Prayoon Chinsai raised the alarm when he noticed a foul odour coming from the room.
When he knocked and no one answered, he used a spare key to open the door – only to find the woman’s half-naked body rotting on the bed. Police checked CCTV and spotted Bearach, from County Down, Northern Ireland leaving the room on December 22 -the same day Duangta was found.
