Beauty guru Trinny Woodall has proven that you don’t need to splash out on pricey salon visits to stay well-groomed as she uses a £7 brow tinting kit to refresh her eyebrows

She might be the owner of a top-selling beauty brand, but Trinny Woodall proves you don’t need to be splashing out on expensive treatments to keep your grooming routine intact. The fashion and beauty guru took to her Instagram to show that some jobs are just as easy to do yourself, as she reveals she often tints her eyebrows at home.

Trinny, who launched Trinny London back in 2017, chatted to her followers on her Instagram story as she used the Refectocil at-home brow tinting cream, which you can pick up on Amazon for £6.75. The at-home dye kit is perfect for giving your brows some extra definition and colour without having to splash out on salon treatments.

To use the Refectocil at-home brow tinting cream you simply mix the cream dye with the RefectoCil 3 Percent Oxidant Crème developer, which is sold separately for £8.15, before carefully applying it directly onto your brow hairs. You can use either a small spoolie comb or an angled brush, whichever you prefer, to create the shape and definition you want your brows to have.

One top tip is to make sure you work the product into your hairs going both towards and against their natural growth pattern to make sure they’re completely covered. Then, you simply leave the brow tint to set for the instructed time before wiping it off with cotton pads and water, and you should be left with perfectly tinted brows.

If you’d rather have an all-in-one kit that gives you everything you need, Eylure’s Dybrow Permanent Eyebrow Tint, £8, is a great easy option to use. You’ll get a tube of dye, developer and the spoolie brush included, and in 15 minutes you’ll have your brows looking sleek and professionally done.

Apart from being much more cost effective than heading to the salon, tinting your brows at home also gives you much more freedom to create the exact shape and style you want, as well as saving you time in your schedule. It’s also perfect for last minute touch ups before big events, or even just keeping your brows looking in tip top shape in between appointments.

You can pick up the eyebrow tint in several colours, including light brown and black, and fans have been quick to praise how easy and effective it is. “Excellent product for a reasonable price. I have been using this for years and it’s worth it,” said one.

Another added: “My third tube. I was a medium brunette in the past and now I’m a dark blonde and I continue to repurchase it. It’s a perfect neutral dark-ish brown. I keep it on for 5 minutes and it lasts me for around 4 weeks.”

Whilst a fourth wrote: “Bought on the recommendation of BFJenna – thanks! This stuff is so good. I have dark blonde eyebrows and this took them to full bodied I’m less than 5 mins. It’s almost like I’ve got brow hairs I’ve never had before. Really easy to use, just mix 1-2cm of it with developer (sold separately) I used 10 drops of the same brand developer and it was perfect, I mixed it in my fake tan lid! Didn’t pay much attention to getting it on perfect, slapped it on and left it. Wiped it off and was in awe. Skin was very slightly stained but came off in the shower the next day. Did this after a brow lami which left my brows a little rough feeling, and this product made them feel much smoother.”
