London’s Air Ambulance along with the Metropolitan Police and multiple ambulance crews were dispatched to the scene where two people were treated for injuries and subsequently taken to hopsital
Two people have been rushed to hospital following an alleged stabbing in north west London this afternoon. Emergency services rushed to Kilburn High Road shortly after 5.46pm prompting a major police response in the surrounding area.
The busy road was closed by police in both directions near the North London Tavern while their investigation work was carried out. Paramedics treated two victims at the scene before transporting them to a major trauma centre for further medical care. Their current condition remains unknown.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson confirmed: “We were called at 5.46 p.m. on Sunday, 5 January, to reports of a stabbing on Kilburn High Road, NW6. We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic, and an incident response officer. We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance. We treated two patients at the scene and took them to major trauma centres.”
A second crime scene is in place near The Old Bell pub, approximately 0.7 miles away, however authorities have yet to confirm if the two incidents are connected, but investigations are ongoing.
