Victoria Beckham shared a bittersweet throwback photo of her family to mark her dad’s birthday, including her currently estranged son, Brooklyn. Amid an escalating feud between the family and 26-year-old Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz, the old snap showed her brood in happier times.

The sweet photos were shared by the 51-year-old mum-of-four to mark her dad Tony’s birthday. Posting on Instagram Stories, Victoria shared a photo of herself as a teenager posing with her dad, writing: “Happy birthday,y Daddy, I love you so much!”

The second share saw her post a photo of her kids with their grandad, with Victoria adding: “The best papa in the world!” She tagged all her children, notably including Brooklyn, who has been absent from any family events for months, as rumours of a bitter rift continue to swirl.

She shared another of her family, and a fourth showing her mum, Jackie, smiling for a photo with David and Tony. The post adds to the notion that Victoria and David still want contact with their son, but there is still a question mark over the cause of Brooklyn’s disengagement with his family.

Some are starting to question whether his wife Nicola Peltz, 31, has had a part in ostracising him from his family. According to a body language expert, she has been “actively distancing” herself from the Beckhams for months.

Their final photo together was taken over Christmas, with Judi James suggesting there were already signs of some sort of tension. The sweet snap appeared to show the family enjoying the festive season together.

But speaking to the Mail, Judi explained how there could have been more at play. She told the paper: “Nicola’s smile here looks charming and her pose is a mirrored version of Victoria’s, but it has seemed as though she might have been actively distancing herself (and Brooklyn) from the Beckham clan.

“It is not an unusual step for new wives hoping to encourage a husband to stand on his own feet rather than being overly dependent on his parents. This line-up might be a reflection of that distancing,g although in the past it has been her and Brooklyn sitting apart from his parents, while here he poses apart from his wife, which could have added to any tension.”

Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola, 31, have been absent from Beckham family events recently

The ongoing feud has seen the family’s eldest son miss out on family occasions, including his dad David’s 50th birthday celebrations at the start of the month. When photos emerged, it became clear that the 26-year-old had been missing from David’s big day, which saw the family plan a series of lavish dos to celebrate the former England footballer’s birthday.

A star-studded bash at the family’s Cotswolds home saw reams of David’s family and friends show up to mark the occasion with him. The family then jetted off to a wine-tasting afternoon at a vineyard in the south of France, before heading to Paris for a quiet dinner on the night of his birthday in one of his favourite restaurants.

The next day, the Beckham’s put on a dinner party at Core by Clare Smyth – a restaurant in London’s Notting Hill. The Michelin starred diner then welcomed some A List guests, including Tom Cruise, Eva Longoria and Gordon Ramsay, with the party going on into the early hours.
