A six-year-old post by sex trafficking victim and Prince Andrew accuser Virginia Giuffre said she was in ‘no way’ suicidal, which comes hours after she took her own life at her home in Western Australia
A tragic post by Prince Andrew accuser Virginia Giuffre saying she was in “no way” suicidal has resurfaced from six years ago. The sex trafficking victim – who was one of the most outspoken accusers of sex offenders Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell – was tragically found dead last night at her home in Western Australia after she took her own life, her family confirmed.
Ms Giuffre’s family said she was unable to cope as the “toll of abuse is so heavy it became unbearable for Virginia to handle its weight”. She shared a worrying post on X in 2019, which has now been shared by several prominent people. In December 2019 Ms Giuffre responded to another X user who posted: “F.B.I. will kill her to protect the ultra rich and well connected.”

Ms Giuffre replied and wrote: “I am making it publicly known that in no way, shape or form am I suicidal. I have made this known to my therapist and GP – If something happens to me – in the sake of my family do not let this go away and help me to protect them. Too many evil people want to see me quieted.”
This post was shared on Saturday by a high ranking politician, House Republican Nancy Mace, who said: “This gave me goosebumps.” Fellow Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene shared a photo of Ms Giuffre with Prince Andrew and said: “Jeffrey Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre has died by ‘suicide.’ The truth needs to come out more matter who is responsible.”
Local police have said her tragic death was being investigated by Major Crime detectives but “early indication is the death is not suspicious”.
Ms Giuffre claimed Epstein and Maxwell trafficked her when she was 17 and flew her around the world offering her up to powerful associates – allegedly including Prince Andrew, which the Duke of York has strenuously denied.
Her brother, Danny Wilson, shared a sweet final photo of Ms Giuffre after news of the tragedy was broken. She can be seen sitting with Danny and another man, who is believed to be her older brother Sky.
Danny Wilson earlier told NBC News she “pushed so hard to snuff the evil out” of the world. He added: “Her biggest push was, ‘If I don’t do this, nobody’s going to do it. She was in real physical pain — suffered from renal failure. But I think the mental pain was worse.”
Earlier the family said in a statement: “It is with utterly broken hearts we announce Virginia passed away last night at her farm in Western Australia.
“She lost her life to suicide, after being a lifelong victim of sexual abuse and sex trafficking. Virginia was a fierce warrior in the fight against sexual abuse and sex trafficking.
“She was the light that lifted so many survivors. In the end, the toll of abuse is so heavy it became unbearable for Virginia to handle its weight.”
Born in Sacramento, California, Ms Giuffre was one of the earliest voices calling for criminal charges against Epstein. The campaigner also provided critical information to law enforcement, which contributed to the investigation into and later the conviction of Maxwell.
Her publicist, Dini von Mueffling, said in a statement: “Deeply loving, wise and funny, she was a beacon to other survivors and victims. She adored her children and many animals.
“She was always more concerned with me than with herself. I will miss her beyond words. It was the privilege of a lifetime to represent her.”
