Disney Plus has finally confirmed the streaming release date of Marvel’s latest blockbuster, which sees Ryan Reynolds back as the ‘Merc with a Mouth’
Disney+ has finally confirmed when Deadpool & Wolverine is coming to Disney+, and Marvel fans don’t have long to wait. The latest epic blockbuster in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) sees Ryan Reynolds don the iconic red suit once again as the titular anti-hero.
The ‘Merc with a Mouth’ returns in a move that has huge ramifications for the future of the MCU, having previously been a part of 20th Century Fox’s Marvel franchise. Marvel Studios acquired the rights for the character – as well as fan-favourites the Fantastic Four and X-Men – and are set to merge the franchises in the MCU’s Phase Five.
The Deadpool & Wolverine synopsis reads: “Deadpool & Wolverine finds Wade Wilson with his past as the morally flexible Deadpool behind him, until he suddenly finds himself in a fight for the survival of his homeworld and must suit-up again – and convince a reluctant Wolverine to help him.”

Deadpool & Wolverine was a huge commercial success when it landed in cinemas in July, raking in more than $1.3 billion worldwide. It overtook Joker to become the highest grossing R-rated film of all time in the US and currently boasts a 94 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
