Dua Lipa’s fiancé, Callum Turner, has revealed how the couple met and what they bonded over, which resulted in them being the perfect match.
Dua’s love story has been a hot topic lately. Her relationship with actor Callum has been nothing short of a fairytale – especially with the recent news of their engagement leaving everyone buzzing.
Speaking to The Sunday Times, Callum opened up about his relationship with the singer and how it all began. The pair connected over the same book – and the rest is history.
He told the publication: “We sat next to each other and realised we were reading the same book, which is crazy. It’s called Trust, and I had just finished the first chapter, and I told her, and she looked at me and said, ‘I just finished the first chapter too.’ I said, ‘So we’re on the same page. ’”

Describing their first interaction, the actor described it as out of a Hollywood romance. He said, “In the movie version of it, I look up to the sky and I’m like, I hear you. I understand. The signs are loud, don’t worry. And that was really the first [moment]”.
Who is Callum Turner?
Callum Robullard Turner is an English actor who originally began his career as a fashion model.
The 35-year-old has been in the film industry for over a decade. He’s best known for the fantasy films Fantastic Beasts: The Grimes of Grindelwald and Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.
His performance in the 2019 mystery series The Capture earned him a nomination for the British Academy Television Award (BAFTA) for Best Actor. As for his recent projects, Callum has appeared in films like Atopia, Rose of Nevada and Eternity, as the main lead actor.
He’s currently working for One Night Only, starring alongside American actress Monica Barbaro. The film will be out on the big screens for release in August 2026.
Before dating Dua, Callum was in a relationship with British actress Vanessa Kirby from 2015 to 2019.

When did Dua Lipa and Callum Turner start dating?
Dua and Callum’s romance has been the envy of the internet. Though the couple prefers to keep their love life off cameras, the moments they’ve shared on social media – or caught on camera – have fans swooning.
Rumours of a fling between the singer and the actor began in January 2024, after being seen together at the after-party of the premiere for Master of the Air in London. That same month, the two got photographed kissing while on a date at Sushi Park in Los Angeles.
Months later, Dua and Callum became Instagram official and made their red carpet debut at the 2025 Met Gala. Since then, the two have been inseparable. Earlier this year, after much speculation, Dua confirmed their engagement during a conversation with British Vogue, calling it a “really special feeling.”
