The luxury product helps make skin ‘glow’ and is similar to a designer brand, but costs a fraction of the price
Aldi has released three brand new skincare products as part of its latest SpecialBuys range ahead of Black Friday and Christmas. In its newest Lacura shake-up, customers can enjoy three ‘pure gold’ creams and serums at affordable prices.
Lacura is the budget supermarket’s own skincare and beauty brand. The new 100ml products are Lacura’s Caviar Gold Eye Cream (£6.99), Caviar Gold Day Cream (£8.49) and Caviar Gold Serum (£8.49).
Buying all three items will set you back around £24. But this is a fraction of the amount a 50ml tub of La Prairie’s Pure Gold Radiance cream would cost you.
La Prairie is a luxury designer brand, and a 50ml tub of its Pure Gold Radiance cream is priced as much as £760 at the likes of Selfridges. Similarly to Aldi’s own brand Lacura creams and serums, La Prairie’s range is made with ‘pure gold’, which serves as a ‘radiance booster’ for a brighter complexion and helps ‘restore’ dry, fragile, or dull skin.
Lacura’s Caviar Gold Eye Cream is formulated with caviar extract, pure gold, ginseng extract, and hyaluronic acid. It is designed to reduce the appearance of fine lines, create an even complexion, and restore a natural glow.
Aldi says: “Upgrade your skincare with this Lacura Caviar Gold Eye Cream. Skin caviar without the cost. This delightfully soft and soothing cream is just what your skin needs. Providing hydration, nourishment and care for your skin. Feel and look your best this Christmas with the help of this luxurious skincare range.”
Lacura’s Caviar Gold Day Cream gives shoppers the chance to treat their skin to a ‘touch of luxury’ without the eye-watering price tag. Similar to the eye cream, the day cream is for mulated with caviar extract, pure gold, liquorice root extract and hyaluronic acid.
It is said to support skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines. As for Lacura’s Caviar Gold Serum, it is described as a ‘luxury anti-ageing’ product that replenishes radiance. It is also made with caviar extract, pure gold and hyaluronic acid, but features an extra ingredient – arolla pine extract.
Arolla pine is a typical plant of the alps. It only grows above a sea level, between 1,400 to 2,100 meters and can have an age over 1000 years. Arolla pine contains pinosylvin, which can help reduce inflammation. Some clinical studies have shown that pinosylvin may reduce redness and age spots on the face.
