Alesha Dixon and her family took time off from their busy lives to enjoy a spa day after the singer split from her long-term partner.
It was recently reported that Britain’s Got Talent judge, 46, reportedly told her close friends that things are over for her and Azuka Ononye, who is the proud father to their two young daughters, aged 11 and 6. The couple were together for 18 years before they were said to have called things off.
The talented star has not been pictured with Azuka since March this year, and reportedly told her pals that she and her partner of 18 years are ‘more like friends’ after their romantic connection appears to have dwindled. Following the news of their reported split, Alesha took to social media to share a snap from her getaway.
She posted a selfie with her step mum and sister, Leyanne Harris. In the picture, the three rocked comfy robes as they enjoyed their time at one of Champney’s spa locations. “Thank you @champneysspas for looking after my step mama so well! She had a lovely birthday [cake emoji],” she captioned the post.
In recent months, amid her reported split from her partner, it was reported that Alesha had been hiding her wedding hand in pictures. The singer turned Britain’s Got Talent star has been cleverly hiding her left hand in every Instagram snap in recent months. The musician never tied the know with Azuka but previously referred to him as her ‘husband’.
Speaking to The Sun, a source said: “Alesha’s been quietly telling people close to her that she believes their relationship is over and they’re going to separate. She and Azuka have been together almost two decades but their relationship has become more like a friendship.
“They’re devoted parents to their girls, who are 11 and six, and want to focus on keeping their relationship as amicable as possible for their sake.” Alesha last posted a picture of the couple on her social media account in June this year. The duo met when he was hired as a dancer for her tour.
Alesha and Azuka quickly became friends but she first played hard to get for around a year before their relationship deepened. They grew closer when she broke her foot and he looked after her all while sleeping on the floor to make she he could care for her while she recovered.
They share two daughters, Azura Sienna and Anaya Safiya, together.
