Several people have been stabbed in Amsterdam where eye witnesses reported hearing an “icy scream” are at least five people suffered injuries.
Dozens of police officers, ambulances and an air ambulance were scrambled to the scene in the Netherland’s capital. A store employee has revealed she heard a lot of shouting and screaming and people started running in the direction of the incident.
Amsterdam Police said in a statement: “In a stabbing incident at the Sint Nicolaasstraat nearby the Dam square five people have been injured. One suspect has been arrested.”
