The newest Apple Watch Series 10 is available to buy in the UK – Our Commerce Content Editor has picked the best shopping deals

It’s another huge day for Apple as its shiny new devices hit UK stores, since the whirlwind ‘Glowtime’ iPhone 16 launch the newest models have only been available to pre-order, until today. That means those with their eye on grabbing Apple’s newest smartwatch could walk into a store today with one on their wrist.

In a few hours, the newest Apple Watch Series 10 will come off pre-order and hit UK sale shelves. Starting at £399 this model overtakes the previous Apple Watch Series 9 as the tech giant’s “most advanced display yet”. Of course, if you’re looking to buy a new iPhone 16 then we’ll push you straight to Sky Mobile’s half-price data deal so you can save extra pennies.

A refined and thinner design, up to 18 hours of battery life, and new built-in features to help wearers overhaul their lifestyle including sleep apnea, health, and fitness insights. Of course, intelligence is included in WatchOS 11.

Before the model becomes available to snap up in the UK, we’ve rounded up the pre-order retailers, so as soon as the accessory hits ‘buy now’ you can grab a great deal. Here are the retailers we’d recommend.

The Apple Store

Starting with the Apple Store…obviously. You can choose between the cheaper aluminium model or the higher-end titanium (the difference between £399 and £699) a 42mm or 46mm case size, and of course the tricky choice between going with GPS or GPA + cellular – the latter one meaning you will never need your iPhone with you to use your shiny new watch.

There are also four different strap styles with the textured link: sport loop, magnetic link, modern buckle, braided solo loop, and the Nike sport loop. It wouldn’t be Apple without a trade-in option either, so if you have an older smartwatch (Apple or another brand) you can get as much as £325 taken off the price.

The Apple Store has now opened its ‘buy now’ on the Apple Watch Series 10, anyone who orders today will get delivery by September 27. Also available is the Apple Watch Ultra 2 in a new shiny colourway.

Quickest Apple Watch Series 10 delivery at Very

Now onto Very, as it adds the shiny new water depth and temperature sensing Apple Watch to its site. As we speak it is still on pre-order but eager shoppers can still head to the checkout. Starting at £399 the Watch Series 10, with a 42mm Jet Black aluminium case and black sport band…plus anyone who orders this will get it delivered this September 23, before Apple Store orders.

Amazon

Next on our list is Amazon, as it lists all of the Apple Watch Series 10 landing pages. Now, it is currently not available to take to the checkout (just yet) but we can expect the deals to lift throughout today – we will update as soon as it goes live.

Currys is another UK retailer offering the Watch Series 10 to buy outright – starting at the usual £399 price – however, while it’s still lifting the lid on pre-orders we wouldn’t recommend picking the retailers if you’re looking to trade in. That’s because it’s only offering up to £50 off the new device for those who hand over another model, a huge cut from Apple’s up to £325 offer.

Don’t know what type of new Apple Watch to pick? Our tech editor Dave Snelling rates the Apple Watch Ultra 2 as the one, despite only launching in a new colour this year. He said: “Apple hasn’t released a Watch Ultra 3 this year but it has launched something many have been asking for. Yes, for the first time, there’s an all-new colour to choose from.

“Having taken delivery of the Apple Watch Ultra 2 in black titanium ahead of its UK release I can confirm that it looks seriously snazzy and it will definitely suit those who want a mean-looking watch attached to their wrist. Unlike the new Apple Watch Series 10 which now features a slimmer case and shiny titanium finish, there’s nothing subtle about the black titanium Watch Ultra 2.

“This is a big, bold device that includes a moody matt finish with flashes of orange on the Action Button and Digital Crown. It’s not a device that will suit everyone but that’s exactly why Apple released the Ultra in the first place. This is a rugged wearable that’s built to take some serious punishment – it’s not a watch you’ll probably wear out to a posh dinner at the Ritz.” You can read all about it, here.

Of course, Apple isn’t the only brand with an eye-catching smartwatch model. Those looking for a cheaper slightly more affordable deal may want to look at Sky’s recent accessories page as it lists the rival Samsung Galaxy Watch and the Google Pixel Watch.
