The Oscars – also known as the Academy Awards – will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, with the ceremony followed by catering at its annual Governors Ball
The likes of Ben Shephard and a former the Traitors star got to sample a menu that’s said to feature at the Oscars recently.
This year’s Academy Awards – also known as the Oscars – will be held on Sunday night in the US. A host of celebrities, including nominees, will be at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles for the annual film awards ceremony that evening.
It will be followed by the Governors Ball, which is a post-ceremony “celebration” at the venue. It’s previously been announced that restaurateur Wolfgang Puck and Eric Klein have “created” a menu for the occasion on the weekend.
Chef Elliott Grover – who fronts Wolfgang’s restaurant CUT at 45 Park Lane in London – has shared that he will be part of his team for the event. Ahead of going abroad for the role, Elliott’s involvement was celebrated a party in the UK.
Guests like Good Morning Britain host Ben and Nathan Khider – who appeared on the latest series of the Traitors – were invited to Bar 45 at 45 Park Lane for the gathering. They were joined by the likes of Sky News’ Mhari Aurora.
It’s been teased that the party earlier this month was in part to celebrate Elliott “cooking three signature British dishes” at the upcoming Governors Ball of the Oscars. The three dishes are understood to be fish and chips with tartar sauce, toad in the hole and knickerbocker glory.
Some of those in attendance posed with an Oscar at the restaurant, which was also making the launch of a new art exhibition at Bar 45, in photos shared on social media. Ben was seen holding the award in a photo alongside Elliott and other guests. Whilst Nathan showcased the accolade whilst beside Mhari in a photo that she shared with her followers.
Footage from the event has since been shared by 45 Park Lane on Instagram. The hotel’s video on the platform showed what guests had been treated to at the party, including apparent appetizers of the three dishes, and some guests.
Alongside the video, it wrote in the caption last week: “A Taste of Hollywood. Inside BAR45’s party to launch our glamorous new art exhibition Icons of the Silver Screen and to celebrate 45 Park Lane’s culinary director Eilliott Grover cooking three signature British dishes at the 97th Oscars Governors Ball in Los Angeles with Wolfgang Puck. Our awards season menu is also available to enjoy exclusively at BAR45 until 9th March.”
