British popstar Lee Ryan has tied the knot with his new wife, Verity Paris during a low-key but loved up ceremony held over two years ago but they recently celebrated their nuptials
A chart topping boyband star has held another wedding ceremony with his Ariana Grande impersonator wife.
Lee Ryan and his wife celebrated their wedding in Spain two years after they tied the knot – with the family decked out in flamenco-style dress. The Blue star and Verity Paris – an Ariana Grande impersonator – secretly married during a civil ceremony in Gibraltar in March 2022.
Earlier this week – two years later – the smitten pair finally celebrated with friends and family, with a party on a boat. There was a sign outside stating the ceremony was for “Verity and Lee” – and photographers were on hand to capture the big day. They were spotted hugging or carrying their children, dressed in spotted Spanish-influenced dresses, while Verity wore a stunning red dress.
Holidaymaker Michael McGovern, 57, who works in business development, from London, said: “My wife spotted him and said ‘that looks to be Lee Ryan’. It seems to be their Seville ceremony. It look like a celebration.”
“There was kick off festivities and all themed with red.” Verity appeared on X Factor in 2009 – and previously worked as an Ariana Grande lookalike and impersonator. The couple now live in Spain together with their children. After their first wedding, he said: “I met someone finally who loves and supports me in everything I do. Verity is a beautiful, strong and loving woman who I treasure. And I’m a lucky man to have such a wonderful mother for my child, and now wife, in her.
“I’ve never been more calm and grounded and I have Verity to thank for that. ‘’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my life because of the wonderful family life I have now.” Lee and Verity’s happy day comes almost one year after the couple announced they were expecting his fifth child.”
The chart-topper is already a dad to Bluebell, 16, from his relationship to ex-girlfriend Jessica Keevil. He also shares son Ryan with his ex-fiancée, Samantha Miller. He also has two children with Verity after he shocked fans by revealing the couple had secretly welcomed a daughter together.
Penning the message on the boy band’s official account, Lee wrote: “Me and my wife, Verity, are very pleased to announce our new baby, that will be born this year. The news came out of the blue. I found out on my 40th birthday! What a present from God.” Ryan added that his fellow bandmates Simon Webbe, Duncan James, Antony Costa were “thrilled” for the couple and their baby news. Duncan appeared to hint at the expectant’s gender with a skilfully worded comment on the upload.
After sharing a snap of Lee and Verity embracing, while Lee clutched his wife’s growing baby bump, James replied: “They say 3rd a charm – and now ur charm is a baby boy! Massive congrats brother.” While Anthony simply added: “Congratulations.”
