Five years on since bidding the cobbles farewell in 2019, Imogen Pascoe actress Melissa Johns has delighted fans on social media with her biggest adventure yet – tying the knot to her long term partner Dan Hampton

Coronation Street actress Melissa Johns has officially tied the knot with her long term partner, with several of her former co-stars in attendance at the lavish bash. Melissa, who played Imogen Pascoe the ex-girlfriend of Kate Connor on the ITV soap between 2017 and 2019 – finally walked down the aisle to say ‘I do’ to her partner Dan Hampton on Friday afternoon.

For her big day, the actress and disability rights activist opted for a stunning off the shoulder bridal gown, and was seen grinning from ear to ear in several snaps both before and after the ceremony. Sharing several glimpses of her wedding online, the happy couple were surrounded by their loved ones for the all important occasion, with a very familiar Coronation Street star also in attendance.

Among the famous faces celebrating the big day included actress Bhavna Limbachia, who famously played Rana Habeeb in the show, alongside her actor husband Darren Kuppan.

Offering a behind the scenes glimpse of the wedding online, Melissa showed off a few key details about her big day on Instagram – including her wild wedding reception! Among the snaps shared online, were one with the bride to be sporting statement sunglasses as she posed with friends, while a second snap showed off her customised denim jacket to help stave off the chill as the day headed into the evening.

Melissa also delighted fans with a glimpse of her dress as she walked down the aisle, which showcased the stunning lace embellished design as she prepared to spend the rest of her life with the man of her dreams.

Since leaving Corrie back in July 2019, Melissa has been enjoying a non-stop acting career, with several roles under her belt including The Interceptor, The Split and I hate Suzie. However fans may best recognise her for her regular role as Miss Scott in ITV’s Grantchester.

In addition to her acting roles, Melissa is also a staunch disabled rights advocate and often fights for better on screen representation of disability, as she herself was born without her right forearm and hand.

Keen to encourage more disabled people to pursue careers in the arts, she also co-founded TripleC, an organisation that supports disabled people accessing the performing arts.
