Dan Osbourne has continually been “keeping secrets” from wife Jacqueline Jossa in the last 12 months which is the reason their marriage has collapsed, a new report has claimed. Earlier this month Eastenders star Jac, 32, and Dan confirmed in a statement they had split up although more recently the pair had suggested they were still trying to make things work for their children.

But it seems Dan, 33, purchasing another property was a “final straw” in their relationship, which has been plagued by issues for a number of years on and off.

A source told Heat magazine: “This split isn’t a shock for Jac, it’s been a long time coming. Dan keeping things from her this past year has only pushed her towards the decision, especially him buying his own house to protect himself financially. After everything they have been through, that was the final straw. Seemingly planning his own future outside of their marriage felt like the ultimate betrayal and a sad sign that things really were over between them.”

The split is an especially sad time as the pair share two children, Ella, nine, and Mia, six. Dan’s son Teddy, 11, from a previous relationship is also part of the family.

But whilst they have had issues before Jac has been pictured not wearing her wedding ring in a sign this break up is more permanent.

Last week Jac addressed reports about the split and suggestions Dan’s new property was a big reason they had issues.

She said on instagram: “He bought a house for investment purposes. You always have to try and make someone the victim and someone the villain, which just isn’t the case. We are a team and working to look after our beautiful children. The sources the ‘pals’ the everything else in between. Is TOOO MUCH for anyone to take. Leave us alone.”

Back in 2019 there were a series of allegations made against Dan, whilst Jac was in the I’m A Celebrity jungle.

In the jungle, her fellow contestant Myles Stephenson told her he believed his ex Gabby Allen had got together with Dan.

Allegations also surfaced regarding a night out in London in 2018 with model Chloe Ayling and US reality TV star Natalie Nunn, which was during his marriage to Jacqueline.

Chloe claimed they had a wild threesome in a hotel room behind Jacqueline’s back, but Dan has denied the allegations.

After Jac left the jungle Dan said in a statement at the time he wanted to “publicly apologise to my beautiful wife and my family for the mistakes I’ve made.” A year later he admitted he had done things he should have but “she had forgiven me”.

The source speaking to Heat this week added: “Jac is done protecting her husband. No one knows the real truth of Dan’s behaviour. Jac’s always tried to put a brave face on for the kids, but it was humiliating, even if it was just rumours that he had texted another woman, she’d be at home sobbing.”

The family home is now for sale and with Dan having purchased a new property it is unclear where Jac plans to live if someone does make an offer on the family home. That part of her future is uncertain although careerwise she is continuing to work on EastEnders through the marriage split.

An official statement when they first announced their split earlier this month said: “Jacqueline and Dan are handling things privately, choosing to keep their lives and relationship out of the public eye. They kindly ask for respect and privacy as they navigate this together.

“Their children remain their top priority, surrounded by love and care from both parents, something that will never change.

“Above all, Jacqueline and Dan have each other’s and their children’s best interests at heart. There will be no further comment.”
