This simple and delicious chocolate cake recipe uses just two ingredients and requires zero baking, so you can enjoy a tasty slice of heaven in no time at all

Indulge in the rich delight of chocolate cake, without the fuss of complicated recipes or precise baking times.

This game-changing recipe requires just two ingredients and skips the oven altogether, making it a breeze for even the most novice cooks. Baking can be a daunting task, with its intricate measurements and delicate balance of sweetness, but this classic chocolate cake is a cinch to make.

Thanks to healthy food blogger Kelsi Boocick (@healthykelsii), who shared this ingenious recipe on Instagram, you can now satisfy your sweet tooth with minimal effort. “This is quite possibly the best recipe I’ve made – I can’t believe how easy it is!!” she exclaimed.

“Remember when sweet potato brownies broke the internet years ago? I think it needs to happen again with this cake!” The secret to this no-bake wonder lies in the combination of dark chocolate and sweet potatoes, which yields a thick, creamy texture that’s simply divine.

To make it, you’ll need just two large sweet potatoes, cut into small cubes, and 200g of dark chocolate. If you’re feeling fancy, you can also whip up a topping using 100g of dark chocolate and half a cup of coconut milk.

To whip up this incredibly simple cake, Kelsi advises steaming the potato for about 20 minutes until it’s soft. Meanwhile, melt your chocolate in a bowl over simmering water.

Once both are ready, blend them together until smooth, pour into a lined baking tray and pop it in the fridge to set. This method is much simpler than having to bake it in the oven.

If you fancy adding a frosting topping, Kelsi suggests combining the chocolate and coconut milk in a bowl over a saucepan of boiling water on low heat. Once heated, pour it over the cake mix and return it to the fridge. She recommends leaving it overnight and serving it with fresh berries.
