Doritos have expanded their crisps range with the launch of two new crisp flavours – and they have been well received by fans of the brand. So would you try them?

Doritos have shaken things up with two new flavours.

The popular tortilla crisps brand has released two limited edition flavours in collaboration with A Minecraft Movie coming out in cinemas in April this year. Inspired by characters in the movie, Doritos has launched The Ghast BBQ and The Creeper vinegar flavour crisps.

Newfoodsuk on Instagram shared a picture showing the two new flavours as users gave positive feedback on them. They captioned the post: “New Limited Edition Minecraft Doritos now available at Tesco!! Can’t wait to give these a go!”

It was uploaded yesterday and has already received more than 1,000 comments. One user said: “I have DREAMED of salt and vinegar flavour tortilla chips!!”

Another fan of The Creeper crisps added: “The vinegar creeper ones are absolutely top tier.” Meanwhile, someone who has tried The Ghast BBQ flavour crisps described them as “so good”.

A different user said they went to two Tesco stores to hunt for the new Doritos crisps but sadly, they were “nowhere to be seen.” Another person luckily did find the crisps in their local Tesco and they replied: “Mine had them but they were in such a random place next to the plates and mugs etc.”

An excited user commented: “Got both being delivered by Tesco tonight!” The Ghast BBQ is described as having a sweet, tangy flavour while vinegar is the main star of The Creeper crisps.

The flavour of the two new crisps were designed to resonate with the personalities of the Ghast and Creeper characters in Minecraft. Tesco is selling both flavour crisps for £2.50 but you can grab a pack for £1.75 if you have a Clubcard.

In other big Doritos news, the crisp giant previously teased that it will be releasing square shaped crisps in an Instagram post uploaded on January 11 of a square shaped Dorito corn crisp with the text “the shape of things to come”. It further teased this in the caption by putting just an orange square emoji and the two eyes emoji.

Fans were outraged by this – as one said: “Doritos no please I will have a mental breakdown you can’t do this.” Another added: “That new shape sucks. What’s not broke don’t fix. You guys have had the same shape for Doritos for over 70 years now. Why change it now? That’s going to be another reason for me to be nostalgic about my childhood.”
