If you’re struggling to dry your clothes inside and it’s too cold to hang them out, don’t worry because one organisation expert has a hack that will get them dry in minutes
Struggling to dry clothes in wet wintry weather can be a real hassle, as you try to find spots to hang your garb.
But fret not, because an organisation expert has uncovered a nifty trick that’ll have your laundry dry in just five minutes – and it doesn’t necessitate a tumble dryer, cranking up the heat, or waiting for a stiff breeze.
Tor Rydder, an organisational expert, has revealed his “burrito method” on Organizing TV, his YouTube channel. This clever travel hack is perfect when you’re in a pinch and need something dried pronto.
It’s pretty straightforward; all you require is a towel and some floor space. He instructs: “To do the burrito method, we place a newly washed T-shirt down on a towel. Then we start by folding the T-shirt over, like so.” He proceeds to fold over medium-sized sections of the towel until the clothing item is snugly enveloped.
“Once we reach the top, we start stepping down on the towel,” he demonstrates, applying pressure with his knees onto the rolled bundle. “The reason we do this is because the towel will absorb all of the water from the burrito. Once we unwrap it, it will be a lot drier.”
For those not keen on using their body weight, he also suggests wringing out the ‘burrito’ as an alternative. After pressing or wringing out the excess moisture, simply unfurl the towel to retrieve your substantially drier T-shirt.
Tor shared a nifty trick for drying clothes quickly, saying: “I do find that this method will easily reduce drying time from overnight to a couple of hours,” and added, “If you’re in a hotter climate, you can probably wear it out and it’ll dry on its own.”
For those in cooler climates or short on time, he suggests: “putting the top on a hanger and blasting it with a hair dryer for a maximum of five minutes.” If a hanger isn’t available, laying it over a sink or chair works too. Fans were amazed by Tor’s “burrito method” for speedy drying.
One fan confirmed its effectiveness: “I used these two methods and my clothes were dry in five minutes” while another exclaimed: “This man is a genius. You’re a lifesaver.”
