Fans of Hailey Bieber’s skincare brand Rhode are rushing to buy an Aldi peptide lip treatment that has been compared to one of Rhode’s bestsellers

Rhode fans claim Aldi’s £2.99 lip treatment is ‘so similar’ to Hailey Bieber’s £18 version. As skincare gurus will know, celeb-favourite brand Rhode is famous for its peptide lip treatment, and founder, Hailey Bieber, caused quite the sensation when she released iPhone lip cases designed to hold her popular lip products.

Now, Aldi is selling peptide lip treatments and they fit in the Rhode cases, according to impressed shoppers. The Rhode peptide lip treatments come in four scents (vanilla, salted caramel, watermelon slice, unscented) and are said to offer a nourishing treatment that “leaves lips looking glossy and works hard to nourish and moisturise dry lips,” as per the brand’s website, and the ingredients include shea butter, peptide, babassu, and cupuaçu.

Meanwhile, Aldi’s Lacura has opted for a lip treatment designed to ‘nourish and restore’ made from shea butter, peptides, babassu and cupuaçu butter. However, it’s only available in three scents (salted caramel, watermelon and unscented), not that that’s stopped shoppers from rushing out to find the Specialbuy products.

On TikTok, shoppers were eager to get their hands on the Aldi version which is ‘so much cheaper’ than its Rhode counterpart, and while many noticed differences, they were nonetheless impressed by the similarities.

Comparing Aldi’s watermelon offering to one of Rhode’s tinted products, @bethwainwrightt shared: “It comes out clear. It does smell quite nice. It’s not really overly fragranced. It tastes gorgeous. I actually like that it’s clear as well (…) It even fits in the phone case. How funny is that?”

Elsewhere, @gracechennellk, who tried Aldi’s salted caramel product, said: “It’s just like a clear gloss to be honest. But I feel like it is so similar, for £2.99 as well. It’s so good,” and commenters were equally impressed. “Omg they look amazing,” someone praised. Another shared: “It’s pretty good,” and a third echoed: “Oo will need to get one!”
