No Doubt star, Gwen Stefani, shocked fans when she publicly supported conservative political commentator, Tucker Carlson, reposting one of his religious interviews
Singer Gwen Stefani’s alleged allegiance with Donald Trump and his Make America Great Again campaign has sparked concern among her legion of loyal fans.
The No Doubt star, 52, has not publicly discussed her political views, however, she is known to have been one of the top fundraisers for Barack Obama during his presidential campaign and once performed at a party hosted by former President Joe Biden.
It therefore came as somewhat of a shock when the mum-of-three, who is married to country star, Blake Shelton, publicly supported conservative political commentator, Tucker Carlson, reposting one of his religious interviews.
Now an insider has claimed that Gwen ‘appears to have gone MAGA’ and ‘doesn’t care’ if it alienates her fans. Suggesting a change in her political view could be down to Blake, who is a reported Republican, they said: “After massively supporting Democrats for years – she appears to have gone MAGA. Some of this can be attributed to her marriage, as Blake is an infamous Republican. She shut out everyone for him. She has shed her persona to become the unrecognisable opposite of what she once was.”
Referencing Gwen reposting Carlson’s interview with actor and devout Catholic Jonathan Roumie on X last week, they continued in the Mail: “The Tucker Carlson situation is not anything new though. This is who she has become. Gwen is not even trying to hide who she has become and this person is unrecognisable to her fans, friends and even her label.”
Roumie spoke to the right-wing commentator for almost an hour and a half about the Christian season of Lent, his role playing Jesus in his crowd-funded TV show, and prayer app Hallow.
“Wow @JonathanRoumie you are a powerful, inspirational human,” Gwen gushed while reposting their interview. Following the endorsement, some of the star’s fans weren’t happy, as one replied: “You need a reality check. This is heartbreaking!” Another said: “As a long time fan, you’re making it harder and harder to keep supporting you” while a third suggested: “Gwen is in her Trump era.”
However, others supported the No Doubt star, with several saying they had signed up to prayer app, Hallow, which Gwen is one of the faces of. The What You Waiting For? star encourages people to “pray with me” on the app, which is also endorsed by Hollywood A-listers, including Chris Pratt. The Catholic prayer and meditation app boasts millions of users and costs $69.99 (£64.00) a year for the premium subscription.
