Hollyoaks actress Jessica Fox, known for her role as Nancy Osborne on the Channel 4 soap, has debuted a stunning new hairdo.
The star, 41, swapped her long tresses for a chic, cropped style. Taking to social media to show off her fresh look, she asked her Instagram followers: “Anyone else ready for spring?” alongside a snap of her dramatic new hairstyle.
Her post quickly attracted attention from fans and fellow stars alike. Stephanie Waring, who plays Cindy Cunningham on the show, complemented: “Love your hair.” Meanwhile, Zoe Lister, a former Hollyoaks actress and writer for the show, praised: “Oh mate, you do hair so well and this is EXCEPTIONAL.”
TV host Katy Rickitt chimed in with: “Wahoo welcome to the pixie brigade! You look epic.” And another fan chimed: “OMG! This is a perfect look for you. Takes ten years off you. You’ve totally inspired me to get a pixie cut.”
Over the past year, Jessica’s character has been at the heart of a major Hollyoaks storyline involving the Osborne family. Frankie, Nancy’s stepdaughter, was sexually abused by her twin brother JJ, who manipulated her into silence, claiming no one would believe her.
However, Frankie courageously confided in her father Darren, who believed her without hesitation. Nancy also supported Frankie, with the Osbornes rallying around her during this difficult time. JJ faced trial for his crimes earlier this month and, in impactful scenes, justice was served when the jury found him guilty.
Away from Hollyoaks, in Jessica’s personal life, she gave birth to her miracle baby in 2023 after suffering two heartbreaking miscarriages in 2021. Almost two years ago now, Jessica shared the exciting news of her rainbow baby with fans and offered a brief insight into her life as a new mum just moments after giving birth.
The Hollyoaks star shared a picture of her baby’s foot with his name tag displaying: “Baby Fox,” before another snap saw her and her husband Nicholas gazing at their newborn just moments after he was welcomed into the world.
She captioned her upload: “Baby River, you have changed our whole world forever and we are so grateful we get to love you.” Jessica confirmed she was expecting a child in October last year while sharing the devastating news that she had suffered two babies in 2021.
Taking to Instagram during baby loss awareness week, Jessica said: “Nick and I lost two babies in 2021. Both losses were at the end of the first trimester and completely heartbreaking.”
She went on to explain that during her second pregnancy, her character Nancy was also pregnant and people took to social media to speculate after noticing her baby bump. “And then I lost the baby. On the Friday I had a real bump, on the Monday I was putting on a fake one. It was every bit as horrific as it sounds,” Jessica explained.
Despite her heartache, while sharing her pregnancy news Jessica said: “Out of difficulties, grow miracles. Due Spring 2023.”
