Home Bargains is selling a ‘magical’ gin that’s packed with ‘silver leaves’ – perfect for the festive season

Home Bargains is enchanting Christmas shoppers with a ‘magical’ gin that doubles as a twinkling snow globe. Unveiled just in time for those early festive shoppers, gin aficionados can snap up this dual-purpose bottle, which wouldn’t be out of place as a yuletide decoration.

Priced at £13.99, the Manchester Drinks Co Snow Fairy Gin Liqueur from Home Bargains is brimming with minuscule ‘silver leaves’. Emblazoned on its label, you’ll find: “Light up snow dome. Limited release. Shake to awake the magic.”

The bottle is adorned with a breathtaking winter scene, capturing the essence of its ‘snow fairy’ moniker. Over on Home Bargains’ website, the store lauds the ‘shimmering’ gin liqueur as being ‘infused with seasonal flavours’.

The retailer added: “Snow Fairy is the stuff of legends. Combining zesty orange with warming spices including cinnamon, it’s the kind of drink that dreams are made of. Perfectly matched with soda water or lemonade and a wedge of fresh lime.”

Meanwhile, Marks and Spencer is selling its own collection of ‘snow globe’ alcoholic concoctions, reports the Liverpool Echo. For £15, Marks and Spencer offers its Spiced Sugar Plum Light Up Snow Globe Gin Liqueur, which also features edible silver leaf flecks.

With a promised flavour profile that echoes a ‘warm mince pie,’ the M&S bottle showcases an idyllic snowy landscape. The product description entices potential buyers with: “Shake up some festive sparkle with our spiced sugar plum flavoured gin liqueur snow globe.

“This liqueur contains edible silver leaf which creates a magical winter scene when you shake the bottle, making for an unforgettable gift. Suitable for vegans. Serve chilled. Pour over ice, or top up with Prosecco.”

While both gins sparkle with silver leaf, are spiked with winter spices and come in a ‘wonderland’ packaging, the Marks and Spencer tipple boasts a light-up feature thanks to its battery-powered design. Elsewhere at Home Bargains, customers can stock up on a high-end gift set, which usually costs close to £40, for less than a tenner.

L’Oreal’s Blemish Buster Gift Set has a recommended retail price of £38.99, but Home Bargains sells it for just £7.99. This means customers could pocket as much as £31 – better than half price.
