David Beckham, 49, shared snaps from a lazy afternoon at his £12million Cotswolds mansion, but left fans hot under the collar with the steamy session in his lavish garden

David Beckham showed off his chiselled six pack as he posed in a towel during a pamper session at his Cotswolds mansion.

The 49-year-old former footballer shares the lavish £12million home with wife Victoria, 50, and their daughter Harper, 13, as their eldest children Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 22, and Cruz, 19, have all moved out of the family home. Despite announcing his retirement in 2013, David proved he was still in tip-top condition as he posed topless in a series of racy snaps on social media.

The former England midfielder told fans he was having a “self care Sunday”, and was wearing just a white towel wrapped around his waist and a beanie hat as he enjoyed a sauna and an ice bath. “Always important to take a minute to yourself and reset,” he wrote on Instagram, as he showed off his abs. In one photo, David is standing in front of his Iglucraft sauna, which retails for more than £14,000, and can fit up to six people. The triple sauna also comes with a washroom, and a shower can be added, as well as benches and footstools.

David and Victoria use their Cotswolds mansion as a blissful retreat from their hectic schedules, and in his Netflix documentary Beckham, he admitted it was his sanctuary. “I wanted a place where we could escape,” he explained, as he revealed the tennis court had been replaced with a football pitch, and his favourite place was a £50,000 huge safari tent on the expansive grounds.

“On a Saturday morning, I just potter around this place. I love it. I’m in here from like 11 till like 9 o’clock at night, 10 o’clock at night, later sometimes, just grilling,” he said of the property’s outdoor living area. The enormous estate, located in Great Tew, is where David also harvests honey from his bees, and there’s also a massive swimming pool on the grounds.

Amid reports that the Beckhams have splashed out £60million on a luxurious Miami waterfront mansion, David took to social media to give an update on his chickens. Last month, he joked that his content on Instagram had changed over the years, as now he enjoys growing vegetables and tending to his garden. David confessed he could “hear my east end mates going ‘he has changed’” as he joked his “content used to be motorbikes and camping, now it’s kale, honey and flowers for the house”.
