After buying a Georgia mansion for $2.6 million (£2m), rap mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs appeared to mysteriously abandon it and now an urban explorer has looked inside

YouTuber explores P Diddy’s ‘abandoned mansion’

An urban explorer has discovered an abandoned mansion once owned by Sean Diddy Combs – and was stunned by what he found inside.

The music mogul was arrested last month in New York and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, transportation and engaging in prostitution. The 54-year-old is accused of conducting hedonistic “freak-off” parties at his homes in Beverly Hills, California, and Miami – where it is alleged drugged victims would be sexually abused in public. He has denied all allegations and pled not guilty.

But another home that once belonged to the star stands mysteriously empty – and the urban explorer who discovered it was stunned by what he found inside.

Jeremy Abbott, who runs the popular JeremyXplores YouTube channel, explains that there are a couple of rival theories about why the music mogul abandoned the luxury property. He explained: “Some speculate it was due to financial constraints, but there’s also a bizarre rumour that Diddy abandoned the Mansion after seeing the ghost of his friend Biggie Smalls who was murdered in 1997.”

It certainly seems odd that the multimillionaire would just leave the palatial property to rot. “The 20,000ft home features eight bedrooms and 16 bathrooms,” Jeremy continued. “It was also designed to feature a library, wine cellar, home home theatre, five fireplaces a personal gym and several saunas. And outside there’s a five car garage and a saltwater swimming pool.”

Some areas of the mansion seem to be half-finished. “Wandering further into the vast darkness of the basement, the layout starts coming into focus,” Jeremy added.

“The space feels eerie, yet brimming with untapped potential.” It looks as if there might have been plans to convert the basement into an underground recording studio.

Many of the rooms appear to have been abandoned mid-way through major renovations. But there was one discovery that left him astonished. Jeremy said: “At the top I find a massive room, the skeletal remains of what was once a grand living area …to my surprise many of the high-end appliances are still here and astonishingly they still have power.” It’s evident that someone is still paying the bills.

“This place is quite the mystery. Diddy purchase the mansion for $2.6 million but after four years of extensive renovations he suddenly sold the mansion for $1.3million – half of what he paid for it.”

Even amid all of his legal woes, Sean Combs – variously known as Diddy, Puff Daddy and P. Diddy – is worth an estimated $600million, thanks in part to his discovery and development of artist such as the Notorious B.I.G., Mary J. Blige, and Usher.

Diddy also enjoyed hits as an artist in his own right, including the multi-platinum selling I’ll Be Missing You.

No-one has lived in the mansion since Diddy decided to move out. “Even though the mansion has been stripped of much of its former glory, the essence of its greatness and meticulous craftsmanship still lingers,” Jeremy continued.

The exact reason for the multimillionaire giving up on the half-renovated property remains a mystery. Sadly, local youths have also discovered the vacant mansion, covering more and more of its once-pristine surfaces with spray-painted graffiti.
