The Express reports Justin Hickox, a top stylist, recommended one style above all others for its youth-enhancing properties.
On his YouTube channel, he revealed he has worked with “thousands of clients” who have adored a “timeless” cut like the layered bob.
Justin said: “Clients love it because it’s flattering… people who wear it look more youthful, and the style is timeless! “
With almost three decades of hairdressing experience and a clientele of 85 percent women, most of whom are over 40, the hairdresser knows what looks good.
He differentiated between a “bob” and a “layered bob”, stating that the layers “play a huge role in why it so effective and why women over 40 love this”.
The layered bob, he said continues to be a “timeless” trend and “never goes out of style”.

The Mirror reported on a man who had not changed his hair in two years choosing to let it grow long.
The customer said: “Two years [since my last cut].” And he admits the reason for growing his locks out was down to his “big a** forehead” which he doesn’t like. He then asked the barber for the “special” which is a blowout taper.
He also tells the hairdresser it’s actually his 24th birthday. When asked why he chose him as his barber, he revealed: “Quality cuts. Cuts from my area, no.”
The customer was so dedicated for a transformation, he travelled an hour from Gloucester, Virginia, for the snip.
In the past, his cousin has cut his hair which he says was “terrible” in the short clip. But seconds later, he ooks completely different, amazing thousands of TikTok followers. He describes the haircut as “crazy” and a “great birthday”.
The video garnered 417,000 likes and 1,500 comments since it was posted recently. One commented: “Hair is everything.”
While another added: “This is one of the best.” A third gushed: “Saved that man’s life.”
