A mum has had enough of her seven-year-old daughter’s behaviour and is threatening to return all of her Christmas presents after she acted in a very ungrateful way
A seven-year-old girl risks having her Christmas presents taken away from her after her mum spoke out about her ‘ungrateful’ actions on Christmas Day.
The woman, named Courtney, took to TikTok on December 25 to explain the unfortunate Christmas morning she had with her child, Riley, causing a stir in the family.
“I’m returning all the gifts that Santa got for my seven-year-old,” she started before explaining what had happened.
She explained how she’d gone to bed at 3am that morning, preparing everything for the big day before her children woke up at 7am. Her boyfriend woke Courtney up and said that she needed to come out to the living room because Riley had done something.
“In the middle of the night after I went to sleep, she got into her gifts that were already under tree and started unwrapping them just to see what she’d got,” Courtney explained.
But the problems didn’t stop there, as Courtney went on to explain what happened when they all started to unwrap their gifts later that morning.
“So we’re in the living room this morning, all of us, the babies. Everyone was opening their gifts, and she’s just moping there on the couch with a pissed look on her face,” she said. “I said, you know, ‘what’s wrong?’.”
She then recreated her daughter’s sad voice as she said that she hadn’t gotten anything that she’d asked Santa for.
“So ungrateful, so unappreciative. She said that she’s not gonna play with anything that she got, she doesn’t like anything that she got. She wanted a big blow up bounce house, and she proceeds to take my phone and show me what bounce house, like an $800 (£638) bounce house that you would rent for your birthday party.”
After explaining to the camera that her daughter would not be getting the bounce house, she said that she was planning on returning all of her gifts because of how ungrateful she had been.
“I couldn’t imagine at that age telling my mum that, like you say thank you no matter what, if you like it or not,” she said.
After posting the story on TikTok, a lot of other users agreed that her daughter was being ungrateful, but they were unsure about what to do.
One user wrote: “On one hand I get she needs to act grateful but did you get her what she wanted? Cause I’d be upset too if I didn’t get anything I wanted. It happened a lot and I just felt like my family didn’t know me at all. It’s the thought that counts.”

“I went through that and I made my daughter pack them all up and give them to a needy family and after that they only got 3 gifts,” a third user wrote.
