Justin Bieber has issued a plea to the public and hit out on how love is described. The hitmaker, 31, had to share an update regarding his marriage to Hailey Bieber this week after speculation their relationship was on the rocks.

It came after the musician snubbed the Met Gala, with Hailey seen walking the iconic red carpet alone at the event in New York. However, Justin praised his wife’s look with a gushing post showcasing Hailey’s look.

Now, he has posted a lengthy comment on the social media platform detailing why people should change the way love is defined.

He started: “Some people say, you deserve love,’ but that can be confusing – because ‘deserve’ sounds like you have to do something special to get it. But love isn’t a prize you win. You’re special just because you’re you.”

He went on to refer love to a baby, saying you love them just because they’re here. “So even if you don’t feel it all the time, you’re already loved and important – just for being alive,” he added.

Justin then listed reasons why people should change the way they talk about love, telling his followers: “It’s more accurate – and less emotionally loaded – to say, ‘You have worth, simply because you exist. Love isn’t a reward. It’s a reality you may not have experienced yet’.”

His heartfelt message continued: “When someone doesn’t believe they matter, saying ‘you deserve love’ can feel wrong to them – like a lie. That’s because ‘deserve’ sounds like something you earn. But real worth isn’t earned. You’re born with it, like how a baby doesn’t have to do anything to be valuable.”

The singer explained how he thought telling someone they deserve love could be confusing for that person and leave them feeling as though love is unreachable.

“In those moments, ‘deserve’ can actually widen the gap between where someone is and what they think they should feel or have,” Justin said. “It can unintentionally reinforce a sense of failure or exclusion.”

His open message was well received by his fans, with one user gushing: “We love u so much.” Another added:”You are truly special, Justin. Keep sharing your pure heart.”

Prior to the Met Gala, Hailey had been spotted out and about in the Big Apple in a sexy maid-esque mini dress and heels. Justin was nowhere to be seen. Instead, he took to Instagram to show off a golf trip.

Justin’s reps also recently played down rumours of him using hard drugs, saying accusation were “absolutely not true”. They added that he was “simply in one of the best places in his life”. Speaking to TMZ, Justin’s rep said the past year has been “very transformative for him as he ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him.”

They added that fans’ concerns about his physical and mental health are “exhausting and pitiful and shows that despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive.”
