Kerry Katona has revealed that her best friend Katie Price has been staying with her for support after her split from fiancé Ryan Mahoney, ahead of Katie spending Christmas at Kerry’s home.
Kerry Katona has detailed how pal Katie Price has been supporting her after splitting from fiancé and partner of six years Ryan Mahoney, admitting she’s feeling ‘grateful’ for the former glamour model. Katie and Kerry are starring in a production of Cinderella together at Northwich Memorial Court theatre this month, so have been spending every with one another.
And it couldn’t have come at a better time, as Kerry, 44, has admitted to OK! that Katie, who has often been staying with her, has been a shoulder to lean on. Writing in her weekly column, Kerry shared: “I’m feeling really grateful for Katie being here recently, I’ve been having a tough time since splitting from Ryan. It’s all felt overwhelming but she’s been supporting me throughout.
“It’s so nice to have someone who is in the industry and understands what I’m going through. JJ has been with her, too, which is nice, he’s really lovely. I’ve told her she isn’t allowed to go back home! We keep saying how fun it would be for us to move into a house together with all the kids and do a reality show, it would be carnage.”
Elsewhere in the column, Kerry explained how she had a ‘full house’ as both Katie and their co-star Joe had been staying with her and the kids at her Cheshire home, which she previously shared with Ryan Mahoney. Kerry wrote: “Last week I was holding hands with my co-star Joe and some people thought we were a couple, which is just hilarious – he doesn’t swing my way, I’m afraid! I’m definitely in no place to be getting into a relationship or dating anyone, so that won’t be happening with anyone right now, but especially not with Joe! Although, he is staying at mine for a little while, and Katie has also been staying some nights, so I’ve had a very full house.”
Last month, Kerry revealed she and Ryan’s engagement had ended due to a “breach of trust”, but didn’t delve further into the details. At the time, she admitted: “We are no longer together and It’s been a really tough week – I never in a million years thought this would happen. Without going into too much detail, there has been a breach of trust between us.
“I don’t know if we’ll be able to work it out or not, but I do still love him so much. I feel like everything has heaped on recently and it’s so much to deal with, I am really struggling. But I know I can get through it no matter what happens, I’ve been through break-ups before and come out the other side, so we just need to see what happens.”
