Katie Price has showed a sweet clip of her rarely seen dad following his recent health scare.
The former glamour model, 46, told her followers how both her mum and step-dad have been admitted to hospital last month. Her mum Amy has a terminal lung disease idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), which she was diagnosed with in 2017. Amy was rushed to hospital at the start of the year after a burst cyst was discovered.
Katie revealed her mum was taken to hospital again for three weeks, but is on the mend. The mum-of-five also shared how her stepdad Paul – who she refers to as a dad and has a close relationship with – had “a major heart operation”. In an update with her followers, Katie shared a clip of her dad Paul cooking a Sunday dinner.
He proudly showed fans around his kitchen as he prepared a leg of lamb for roasting. Paul added oil, rosemary and salt to the meat and revealed he would also be cooking cauliflower cheese, red cabbage and roast potatoes for the meal. After sharing a clip of her dad, Katie got into the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! spirit.
She posted throwback snaps of herself on the hit ITV show back in 2004. Katie met her first husband Peter Andre on the show. The star, who was known as Jordan at the time, first entered the jungle for the third series of I’m A Celebrity while dating Scott Sullivan, who had travelled to Australia to support her.
After leaving the jungle in 2004, Katie and Pete were inseparable and their whirlwind romance led to marriage the following year at Highclere Castle in Hampshire. They went on to welcome two children together – Junior Andre, 18, and Princess Andre, 17, – before sensationally calling it quits on their romance in 2009 and divorcing.
Katie headed back Down Under for a second stint on the show in 2009. It was recently claimed Katie once set her sights set on Declan Donnelly, according to his co-host Ant McPartlin. In presenting duo Ant and Dec’s joint autobiography, Ant reminisced about how Katie tried to charm Dec at the wrap party for that year’s series of the ITV show, with her mum even attempting to play matchmaker.
“The other thing I remember from that party is doing shots with Kerry, and Jordan [Katie’s glamour model alter-ego] chasing after Dec, who she had propositioned during her departure interview,” Ant recalled when writing about that year’s wrap party in his and Dec’s autobiography Ooh! What A Lovely Pair in 2009.
Dec – who at the time had recently split from childhood sweetheart Clare Buckfield – even saw Katie’s mum Amy trying to act as a wing woman for her daughter. Ant added: “He managed to avoid her all night, but her mum did corner him a couple of times and try to set him up with her. He wasn’t having any of it.”
