Kerry Katona has shared some words of wisdom and warning for actress Kym Marsh following her reported split from boyfriend Samuel Thomas, who she dubbed her ‘soulmate’ last year.
Kerry Katona has shared a warning to Kym Marsh following the latter’s reported break-up, advising the Waterloo Road star to stay single. It was reported last week that Kym had parted ways from her boyfriend Samuel Thomas back in December after six months of dating, despite dubbing the 29-year-old her ‘soulmate’ just months ago.
And giving out some words of wisdom, Kerry – who recently went through her own heartbreak after splitting from her fiance Ryan Mahoney in November – said in her New! Magazine column: “I’ve read that Kym Marsh has split from her boyfriend Samuel Thomas, and if it’s true, then I’m sending her my love. Break-ups are never easy, so I hope she’s doing OK. My advice, as a recently single lady, is to stay solo, enjoy your single life, and make the most of it. I know it can be hard at our age, but I’m having a great time.”
Kerry split from fitness trainer Ryan after six years together, and four years after he’d popped the question during a family holiday to Spain. At the time she shared there was a ‘breach of trust’ between the couple and detailed her heartbreak. But in recent weeks, the mum-of-five has been enjoying a holiday to Thailand and embracing single life, last week revealing she was attempting to get accepted onto celebrity dating app Raya.
While Kym hasn’t spoken out on her reported split from Samuel, the pair have blanked one another’s recent social media posts and haven’t been seen interacting. The couple had met while performing in the musical production of 101 Dalmations, in which Kym portrayed Cruella De Vil.
They fell “head over heels” for one another when they first met, but a source has since said that, after the show, work made it difficult to spend time together. “Once Kym’s role in 101 Dalmatians ended it became harder to spend time together and some of the magic they had at the beginning just disappeared. It’s such a shame, especially before Christmas but Kym surrounded herself with family,” a source told The Sun.
Before news of the split broke, t he couple were very open with their affection for one another, often sharing gushing tributes, with Kym saying she had met the “most amazing ever” back in August. Their romance blossomed not long afterthe breakdown of her third marriage to Army Major Scott Ratcliff.
Kym and Samuel made the relationship Instagram official In July as they “couldn’t contain their excitement”. Their romance came around a year after the breakdown of her third marriage. A source close to Kym told The Mirror at the time: “Kym is so happy with Sam and they couldn’t contain their excitement so it felt natural to put pics on social media and tell the world about the relationship. But the reaction from some people has been harsh and shocking to them.
